Pulled the trigger on a 3090 as it was in stock at a shop around the corner. Huge upgrade from my 980 and I can actually play tarkov properly at 1440p.

Thanks man. I'm not not much of a benchmark person but I can say I consistently hit 120fps on woods map in tarkov (game is limited to 120) and average frames on Troy total war was 93 running the in-game battle benchmark at max settings on 1440p. (No 4k monitor soz). I'm running a 8700k @ 4.8 so there's definitely more room to go but I'm just content with finally being able to play games other than med settings at this res.

Inno3D ichill x4. I literally did no research on the card at it was pretty much an impulse buy as it was the only one in stock. I may even consider parting with it when my evga PLE finally decides to show up.

Could have possibly got my hands on a 3080 this morning, but not paying $1,599 for a Gigabyte.

I’m half tempted to do the same but I think I’m early enough in the queue that it shouldn’t be more than a couple of weeks away I’d guess

Whatever works for you mate, I have a pre-order with Evatech as well so I wasn’t overly concerned about cancelling, I did check with them for an ETA update first but they said it’s still December so that made up my mind for me, I was hoping it was gonna be a bit earlier

Running Superposition benchmarks in various modes it's stable with the following results:

    2010mhz core (+80mhz MSI Afterburner)
    ~80% TDP
    280-290 watts
    72 - 75degC
    Power limit 105%
    Haven't touched memory clock

So, more than the stock clocks of a ROG Strix card for $420 cheaper. Might have more OCability in the Strixyboi but stock-for-stock it's hard to argue the $ savings weren't worth it

Clocks are stable at +140mhz in Afterburner but temp gets high and the clocks come down. Will see how it goes on water

Haven't played with the voltage curve.

Yeah me too. I still have an EVGA on pre-order at PLE, but I'm over it. If by some miracle it comes before the 28th, so be it - at least I didn't pay a stupid price for it. Otherwise, I'll likely get an AMD card seeing as they're looking likely to be pretty damn competitive for once!

I agree, that TDP cant be right? I was pulling almost 320w @ stock (boost 1910mhz core)

Maybe you have a golden chip that has really low power usage?? Hopefully you will have a decent overlclocking overhead with that TDP.

    Keen to see results.

Highly doubt that, Nvidia isn't supposed to be on 7nm till sometime next year. Current stock is all Samsung 8nm.

Edit, if they were producing 7nm cards I'm sure leather jacket would want to make a big deal about it.

Day 2 of no refund from PCCG

Hit cancel at midday yesterday, lets see how long before i get my money back, one thing that has always annoyed me with refunds, money can be taken instantly but cant be returned instantly!

Gsync off makes Dead by Daylight absolutely unplayable haha. unless i drop the hertz on my monitor to 60hz!

i dont get any crashing in games, just some black screens in games and game menus, (a widely reported issue with gsync, for years...)
