Or because all 3080s run basically within a bee's dick of eachother.

won’t work, tuf is only 2x8pin card, shunt mod would do it tho!

hence why I sold my strix a couple weeks ago, get a cheap reference model and put it under water

Haha, why did you choose the Gaming X Trio over the Ventus then?

a tale as old as time, performance between variants with the same physical GPU is fuck all for sometimes multiple hundred dollars.

You ask that question like i had a pick of cards

It was the only one in stock. I would have taken any tri-fan card from MSI, Asus or Gigabyte regardless of model. Don't exactly have the luxury of being picky with 3080s the last few months.

What memory speeds are my fellow 3070 owners running? My Samsung gddr6 seems happy at +1400 (16,800mhz) haven't tried higher yet.

For a cheap (relatively) card it really does seem to take core and memory clocks pretty nicely.

Got really lucky with my Eagle OC which I sold to my friend when I got my Aorus Xtreme 3080. Happy at 17,200mhz. How much it boosted the performance, hard to say, but that's a huge OC from 14,000mhz stock.

This. There's not much room for sillicone lottery on these GPUs. You buy the more exxy cards for thermals and acoustics really.

I managed to get another Eagle OC from here after missing yours which also has Samsung memory and appears to clock well. I'm tempted to load the Gaming OC BIOS onto it too. It's a very nice upgrade from my EVGA 1060 6GB SC

There's definitely differences in stock power limits on different model/brand cards of the same
Don't forget RGB. Or that mini LCD display thingy Aorus Master cards have.
