Eh to most probably not, but to me.. kinda yeah. Just think it looks tacky/unnecessary.
Our first real Aussie RRP????
Time to do some calculations:
RRP Founders Edition $1139 AUD
USD $699 - $1035 AUD
Pure currency USD to AUD - $960 (37%)
Actual Aussie markup = $75 AUD
Actual numerical increase as a percentage = 48% (inclusive of 'Aussie' tax)
RRP Asus TUF Gaming $1399 AUD
USD $779 - $1272 AUD
Pure currency USD to AUD - $1069 (37%)
Actual Aussie markup = $203 AUD
Actual numerical increase as a percentage = 63% (inclusive of 'Aussie tax')
So, based on a HUGE sample size of one here is how to predict our 3080 retail prices for AIBs:
- take US retail price
- times by 1.63
- times by 1.10
Two types of people: happy with a powercolor graphics card paired with a 59hz refurbished office monitor and three stray cats living in the roof or those who like me fall victim to the marketing and pay too much for the prem gear
Will US x 1.793 work as 1 step? (1.63 x 1.1) ?
So just ordered this
Lets see if they honor it
They just went out of stock
does evga usa ship to au withut lies/vpn/bs?
Evening ladies and gents,
Just come here seeking advice. I'm upgrading my display to a 4096x2304 display with a wide colour gamut (21 inch Ultrafine, I know about the MacOS compatability stuff) and the 3080 is looking mighty promising, but RAM limitations might actually be of some concern (considering 4k + 1/2 a 1080p display). Would jumping on a 3080 to play games on be a 'smart' decision or am I potentially screwing myself by not waiting to see what team red has to offer? For context I'm running a 6700k and an r7 370 so this is going to be a huge step up for me graphically, going to upgrade CPU and other stuff for Rocket Lake when that comes out, or possibly Zen 3 (I preference intel for Thunderbolt and the fact that I like to do a lot of emulation).
You guys are more knowledgable than I am, your advice will help a lot. Thanks in advance.
I call dibz if it does
If these are prices, I'm ok with forking out the gaming x
No..they wouldn't send me an ln2 block for a kpe.
Had to get a mate from evga forum to send it
Where'd you see that mate?
EDIT: Nevermind, jw
Lol me too. Lets see
Just searched for 3080 on that JW site. You can't view the actual listing but the items show up.
With a 6700k your gonna bottleneck hardcore with a 3080, you would be better off upgrading to something of the era like a 1080ti to be perfectly honest mate, there was a video that one of the bench markers done showing that in some cases the 3080 was taking upto 30mins just to load into the game, if your going to upgrade CPU and all that, I would be looking at that before you bother with a video card upgrade
Centrecom - $1,549 if its still there???
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC 10G Graphics Card
Apparently that price is confirmed, on bapcaustralia reddit
Do we have any other retailers that are confirmed other than mwave to actually attempt to sell some tonight?
Yeh I think PCCG have confirmed
Can't add to cart anyway.
