    Surely the Zotac is the same PCB as the bigger brands, it's just the cooler that may change? I doubt there's a discernable difference between equivalent cards. What about water cooling?

    If you are a trade VIP with PLE. There was a time when the code was floating around and was easily added to your PLE account.

    Anyone got any contacts with PLE? This has blown up. Particaurly with it being front page of OzBargain. I think they've sold thousands. They definitely won't have anywhere near that many cards in the near future. They really need to advise people with ETAs, particaurly when we've been charged in full.

    Don't really want to watercool it but dont' want to overclock it any time soon either. I have a 980ti... it's going to be a massive big dick upgrade for me with my existing 9900k. I just really wanted a gigabyte card to go with my gigabyte mobo etc. Silly stuff really. I'll maybe just get over it and keep.

    Reviews say power draw is lower. But FPS is like 1-2% lower so not really concerned. Just don't think it's a good overclocker?

    What number were you given if you don't mind me asking or were you actually able to get your hands on a card?

    Pretty sure that Scorptec are no longer a sponsor. Haven't seen them on the list of at least twelve months now.

    I for one would like to thank everyone for getting so hyped. It was fantastic entertainment sitting back and watching the wailing and gnashing of fangs as cards were sought. It would be great if Disney or HBO made a TV series about these events and we all got to watch it. From here in my office I could hear the sounds of heads exploding every few seconds and nerds giving each other the thrashing of their lives Mr Burns style.

    A++ entertainment. Would watch again.

    :D

    eBay overheads are huge. Some shops seem to take the hit to their profit, or must have some fancy deal with eBay that I don't know about (for example Good Guys)

    Have you ever heard of the Dutch Tulip Mania of 1637? It basically was a market for tulip bulbs that was driven by hype and mania and drove up the price of what is a essentially is a flower

    My point is, if people keep over paying for things, the market will oblige. So try not to rip yourselves off for a tulip :)

    It varies on the product. For eVga it was $10 off retail. For the Zotac it was $40.

    Also - for those who ordered from PLE, they've updated their 3080 pages with:
    Nothing about ETA for those who already ordered (yet). I've hit them up via email, twitter and facebook.

    Yup.

    They have just added this to the product pages.

    Bit too late at 9am when they have been taking thousands of orders they can't fill since 11pm the night before. LOL. This is going to be a shit show.
