People need to stop treating this like a launch and just accept that pre orders became available on the 17th. Despite NVidia claiming that there would be no pre orders.

A bit of a bloodshed, as expected. Some were +$300 mrsp and that's with some of the more well known retailers, ignoring the eBay scalpers of course.

A look at the XC3 by Jayz here:

Performance pretty much identical to FE cards while running quieter and cooler. I don't think there will be much headroom on for ocing on these or any entry level cards. Evga addressing the red accents with a replacement option at some point.

Fortunately FE cards are not the holy grail of performance but they did seek out to set an unreasonable benchmark for pricing and have 0 availability. Luckily evga and some others look to have risen to the occasion.

Happy with my pre-purchase, let's see if it gets fulfilled :D

Now that my hype hunger has abated.. time to wait for optimised versions eg strix/ 20gb version hehe and also for reviews.

I can’t believe you guys have to buy with unknown pricing and unknown reviews, as a console gamer mainly you preorder at a known price and with very well known specs (even though not necessarily benchmarked).

    kinda crazy for >$1k devices...

Just heard from a very good source.

3 cards for raffle on Mwave. Good luck everyone.

Also all retailers had ~30 cards sent.

Some of the funniest shit in years. Every PC part site in the country crashing, everyone losing their minds, people throwing money around like candy, people getting scared when it came to pulling the trigger and then their carts freezing or emptying. I'm not buying GPU's anymore just gonna watch the internet when they launch

There are 0 reviews for the PS5 and the entire allocation for 2020 has sold out.

Regarding the 20gb versions someone said the teardown only suggested a 12gb version down the line but I thought there were already SKU's out for 20gb models.

Moores Law is Dead is also claiming that NVidia gave all AIBs $50 (USD) for every card sold through to October, which is alledgely helping to artificially lower the price - for a while. He reckons the prices will all rise in October. He is also a pretty jaded SOB, and has got as much wrong as he has right, so take that with a grain of salt.

I'm definitely keen to see how the AIB waterblocked cards do, whether they give them more power budget to stretch their legs or if they're all pretty much boost capped sub 2000Mhz.

They meant no pre-orders before 11pm on the 17th..... not 'no pre-orders' after that time/date.

I suspect even if prices were three times higher there would still be the same amount of thrashing :D
