Leader was showing Dec 30 for the msi I think
Pricing is one thing, but if you look at the teardown MSI is going backward by using HDT coolers when everybody else is using a cooler with copper base or vapor chamber.
I am confused by this. Didn't someone's screenshot show they were In stock initially?
4,500? Fuck me that can't be right! That's over half a million in sales. Rattled? They will be wading through a sea of shit for months.
Just Ordered a gigabyte gaming OC from Scorpyboi. Spoke to them on the phone, they've got 74 on order for delivery in a fortnight's time, i'm 42nd in the queue
They've got shit under control - pre orders aren't saturated beyond their expected stock
They had ETA when I checked their website around 9pm yesterday, but when I ordered it today there is no ETA.
That was me. This is the image captured from the GN tear down:
A more elegant GPU for a more civilised age.
mate, that's $5.4 MILLION.
" This thing traces all sorts of rays: manta rays, sting rays, Ray Romano, even Rayven Simone from the popular Disney Show "That's So Raven." "
I enjoyed this thread a lot in the last few days, thanks champs!
Lots of fun even though it was a dismal launch last night Still enjoyable sharing it with you fuck faces
Gonna have to wait until stock is replenished for me.... I'll keep trying US sites over the next few days see if i can snag a $699 card from EVGA.
Haha winning at maths this morning. Reckon that's right? Jesus. That's probably the quarter done for them? Maybe the FY lol. I have no idea what their annual revenue would be.
You mean you just ordered one this morning?? And are 42 in line? What???
I am guessing the horde that crashed their website were all ordering TUF cards.
This does give me some hope that the FTW3 that I ordered at 1am just might materialise. I had a feeling that paying more money would be more better.
Yeah I know - it caught me off guard. Either way, they definitely have sold thousands, just by going off our order numbers - as I said, comparing the digits, some are 1500-2000 apart and PLE confirmed each order was just the next number. I think they will be happy with the amount of orders, but stressing about how quickly they can get stock.
I am confused why they haven't stopped taking preorders. Surely they can't fulfil orders done now until 2021?
Someone heard that OCAU has stock:
The last person will get theirs in the mail on 4080 launch day
This is also based on each card being $1199 if you calculate the price at the higher end it’s like $6.3m based on $1,400
When I got my order at PLE 11.20am I thought I lucked out.
Now it seems I just hit a big queue. Will probably hold onto my order if they can guarantee delivery before christmas. Otherwise I'm out
4,500 sales seems like alot yeah. It will take some time to get through so many orders at one time.
But really. We have no idea of the numbers a store like PLE pushes out for any of their products. Or what the card partners will allocate ANZ.
Personally I think that if they were even thinking about cancelling peoples orders they would have disabled the preorders on their website. Yet you can still go to the website and order. Yes there is a warning of significant delays but the orders are open.
My order through Scorptec has the status of "Awaiting Stock Availability". No idea if this means there is actually stock being allocated or not. Regardless, I'm debating whether to cancel the order. The Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity was meant to be one of the models available at the MSRP (i.e. $1,139 AUD), so Scorptec charging $1,379 AUD (+21%) doesn't sit well with me (especially when PLE are seemingly charging $1,139 AUD). Unfortunately, I don't know what the availability and prices are going to be like going forward. I was really hoping to secure something prior to the Cyberpunk 2077 release.
Queuing in live chat now to see what has the least pre orders, leaning towards an EVGA hooker lips edition.
