Having had access to a number of distributors as a small business many years ago. They have standard prices and then they have msy / mwave / pccg prices. Unless they had a special going 99% of the time it was cheaper to buy from one of the big retailers. On the rare occasion the distributor base price was cheaper it would be a $1 or 2 cheaper than the big retailers.

I've got pre-orders in for the FTW3 Ultra and the MSI Trio X.. guess I'll just see which ETA is sooner (guessing not PLE who've apparently taken orders for over 4500 3080 cards).

PLE put up at least 5 cards at $1700 on Ebay that I saw myself. I keep seeing this and it's a crock of shit. I wouldn't be surprised if most of their stock was ebayed this way.

I might change my order as I dont care about brand as much provided the cooling is decent.

Lol jesus. I'm happy to drag my 1080ti through another 3 months rather than pay $600 more than I need to for a card that will devalue when stock stabilises.

Which card? They only listed their X Trios this morning so hoping the ETA on that isn't too bad.

A reminder for those praising PLE's pricing.

PLE have always charged more on eBay to account for eBay's retardedly high fees.

Same. Although, I've had another thought now.

If AMD are supplying chips to Sony and Microsoft for consoles, and the CPUs are Zen 2... That's a massive install base that are based on the same hardware as PCs. Surely that has to result in stability for drivers, economies of scale, etc. (Unless they are so popular it causes shortages instead).

If the top end Big Navi come even within a bull's roar of Nvidia, I think I'm willing to switch loyalties.

Yeah yikes. I don't even understand that, what can 200-400 markup over their usual margin on 4 whole items possibly even be worth to a large national company like ple. Either they know people just won't give a shit or it's going straight into somebody's pocket.
