There are plenty of modern PSUs with single 12v rails. I think pretty much the whole corsair line uses a single 12v rail these days (including my sf750).

The other points you make all stand, it is not just recommended but a requirement to use 2 separate cables on these cards. I've seen multiple issues resolved by fixing that, but I can understand the "mistake" as cards of past including 1080ti and most of the 20 series had no issues with that setup.

they got stock of the strix's and must have some spares, they say it could be another 2-3 weeks for the TUF OC due to the huge demand on them... so I'm going to take it, waiting for my revised invoice now

yes SaveOnIT... sorry... I have been busy with work amongst being excited... they don't have any stock available on their site, they are offering to people waiting on other cards first and then maybe some will go up, that said their list price is higher than many others

Have the rtx 3080 trio x - was playing cod cold war beta on ultra - 3440x1440p (100hz) getting around 110-130 average? My cpu is is 8700 and ram is 2666 , nothing is overclocked. I get around 60-70 in heavy snow places in RD2. is there any issue or is my cpu holding me back?

    He did?

    CPU - intel 8700
    GPU - 3080

    Monitor - 3440x1440p

FPS doesn't look weird to me for that resolution. There are also people in the beta saying they can't maintain 60fps with a 1080 so I wouldn't worry too much.
