And this is the whole thing, people are wrong in both senses, they can call it what they want, doesn't make it true, it's marketed as Titan class performance, not a Titan replacement or Titan

But it has Titan Class performance. Which makes it basically a titan.

PLE has had a 3090 in stock for 2 days now? Is it that bad no one wants it lol? Really tempted... I can easily justify it if FS actually gets VR anytime soon...

But that's the thing, it technically doesn't have Titan performance either. Titans are for content creation, that was the point of them. Shit tons of RAM, drivers geared towards content creation and rendering. The 3090 isn't much better at anything than the 3080.

Jim explains it far better in his video when he compares it to all Titan cards vs the Ti or flag ship versions of equivalent gaming cards of the same family. He clearly shows the 3090 isn't a Titan or even "Titan class". It's just marketing wank for people to go nuts over. The 3090 is basically a 3080 Ti.

Titan class performance is not a Titan, it is not like rtx 3090 will have the driver opmisation a Titan card has which grants Titan Quadro like performance in certain applications.

The Titan card will surely be out next year, Jensen is just milking hardcore fans with a 3090 with the privilege to SLI with it.

Maybe people are finally coming to their senses, and realise that paying 2x and getting 1.1x performance is a bit insane.

If it was a good model RTX3090 instock at PLE it would have sold by now...Im looking for Aorus master or Extreme in either RTX3080/RTX3090 or the Vulcan OC RTX3080. Price isnt that important but not prepared to pre order bullshit , only purchase when in stock.

Haha,. had to laugh at this, my gigabyte gaming OC has the same pci-e power pin setup, and never had an issue with it.

been a solid card 1800mhz boost for $1469 delivered on launch. and consistently boosts too 2025mhz outta the box, and never sees temps above 70., so pretty happy.

i will be selling this card, depending on bignavi performance, or depending h ow long it is before i can get the Alphacool waterblock for it!

POSCAPS is a past issue, my gaming oc never had an issue. for outta the box performance caps mean nothing.

For max headroom in overclocking, unsure if they make a difference or not. but stability is not an issue :)

Yeah it was just tongue in cheek haha, glad to hear the card is serving you well! This has been a good gen for thermals despite the cards being so power hungry.

yeah i wasnt offended, which i why i laughed, was a funny comment.

I understand the pci-e pin setup is not ideal nor will suit everyone, i didnt know when i got the card, if i had known, still woulda bought it, since they wouldnt release a card with that setup if it wasnt going to function.

Only reason i wouldnt buy one knowing about the PCI-e power setup, is future compatibility with waterblocks. Since i have only seen Alphacool announce a block for the eagle/gaming oc. Nothing from EK/Corsair/Barrow/Bykski/Phanteks.
