Cheers, I was thinking of pre-ordering a 3080 Aorus Xtreme for pay in store pick-up, looks like if you do that they only take 10% of the total order

Did a few runs with max power, +150 GPU + 500 Mem in Afterburner and no problems.

Thought about it, but they're like $45ea and a new case that's more suitable in so many ways (NR200) is $110...

    Nice work, I can't justify a 3090 unfortunately.

Had a Fractal Nano S myself a while back, not exactly the most compact mini-ITX case but chock full of cooling options

if you look at hardware unboxed review of the 3070, he does a total system load power wattage with all cards including 3080 and 3090 both under 600w, that was with a 3950X

not saying ideal, but a 650w-700w will run the base 3080/3090s fine, especially if you are using a ryzen system.

Still wouldn't recommend this size PSU, but if this is the PSU size you have, then will suffice if using a base 3 series card.

3080 Ti, where would it fit between the 3080 and 3090. not much of a gap there.

If you want a even less compact ITX case with more cooling options, then you cant go past CaseLabs Mercury S3. good luck getting one now but :p

3090 price coming down seems far more likely than a 3080ti at this point. As above, with where it would have to sit an overclocked 3080 would match it, and then an overclocked 3080ti would match a 3090, not really room in the SKU for it unless they discontinue the 3090 and bring out a 3080 super and a 3090super

discontinued 3090, rlease 3080 Ti, but beats a 3090? that would be a massive fail from nvidia imo,

instead of 3080 Ti, release a 3090Ti, and drop the 3090 to 3080 prices. then have 2.5-3k 3090 Ti prices.

    Interesting thought

But i do not see any super or TI varients between 3070/3080/3090 coming.

They've done it before with the Titan X(p) and the 1080 Ti

Surely I am not the only one to notice the 3080 ref isn't fully populated with GDDR6x?
I think they always left it open to have either a 3080 with wider bus + more memory. Add a few more cuda cores like rumour suggests? 3080Ti/super/rad as/not available for purchase anyway?
