Maybe mwave called off the 3070 raffle now?
$4500, I sent an offer for $2800
God I wish - they haven't said anything but it may just be you have a MUCH higher chance of getting one than the 3080's.
I bet he is lying, he saw the amd key note and freaked out LOL
there are quite a few 3090's on mp and gumtree sitting around $2.7k to $3.3k and have been there for days.
I think its slowed down a bit.
Thanks for the heads up. Some people in the recent ozbargain deal have reported receiving theirs quite quickly, so hopefully yours is an isolated issue. Sucks for you though.
Seems to be a very popular monitor at those discounts, so I can understand why they would have sold out so quickly. This is the new normal, until the supply side issues are ironed out.
My issue was the website slated a few days wait at the most, but the confirmation email said it may not come until 2021.
Been playing around overclocking with my PNY 3080, I can't punch the volts up any higher with this card as it's based on the Nvidia Reference (Not FE) design.
+180 Core, +900 Mem
Good enough to crack 17k in Timespy w/3900x @ stock w/ -.150 undervolt,
For anyone wanting a 3090 FE import
Yep. same results for DLSS and RT for me also. I forgot to mention that this is with my 3080 @ 1860Mhz @.825mV . Pretty much the same results if reset the 3080 to stock settings (~1990MHz @ ~1.08)
Seems a bit expensive when 6900XT is $999 I'll wait for the panic selling.
New Hitler reaction videos are the best part of any new console/tech release
First, the consoles new do not have 16Gb vram available to them. They have 16Gb total ram, which must be used to run the entire system. XBox Series X divides this into.... wait for it.... 10Gb (fast) and 6Gb (slower).... ram, and allocates at least 2.5Gb just for the OS.
Second, vram usage is predominately occupied by textures. A new game at 4k using assets suitable for 4K isn't going to be any bigger than an old game at 4K using assets suitable for 4K. It still comes down to game developers to optimise and build to budget. If they elect to blow budget at 4K that's not the card or consoles fault. 8Gb is basically a defacto target for 4K titles, you can actually expect the vast majority of titles to remain under that, and for those that don't you've always got that setting called "Texture quality", just knock it down from Ultra to High.
As for WD Legions, the reports coming through don't look anything like this is related (solely) to blowing vram budget - but yeah it's a massive own goal for NVidia and Ubisoft to run a cross promotion that runs like a pig.
Thank you!! I just bought one
Seems to be a 3080 eagle able to be ordered
Edit: gone I think
Damn, those were good.
Ok so running my grahics card at defaults (non overclock) Watchdog Legions with every graphics feature maxed out gave the following benchmark results.
Sys Vram usage 8493/24348GB
Ram usage 6.1/31.95GB
Cpu load 34%
Gpu load 99%
Max fps =115
Ave fps =79
Min fps =39
So as far as i can tell on this game at least 10GB vram is fine.
Dont care much for game as such other than the graphics which are truly stunning.
