Quick question: When preordering from PLE do they take the money from your account there and then or later when they fill the order?

I have heard a couple of people haven't gotten charged upon purchase, but lots have. So I would expect you have to pay up front.

Haven't read all the pages to see if you resolved this, but along with the power cable issue someone else mentioned, I would also suggest pulling the card out and wiping the PCI-E pins in case there is a coating or something on them.

Think that might have been me. Upon first install the card lit up, fans didn't spin, system didn't post. Removed the Phanteks cable extension kit for the GPU power lines and everything was sweet.

I paid the full amount + shipping on launch night. I have read that now they charge once order is about to be dispatched.

Thank you for the suggestion.. we solved the problem by using a 2nd power rail to the card.

Mine was charged in full on release night. paid by credit card.

Some people who ordered on release night were only charged $1.22 or something. Not sure if they opted for direct debit or credit

Insane. Same card. I'm 700 orders in front of you but my eta is still 16/11. Ill wait for the thurs/friday update before calling again though.

I did however got my wife to call about the FTW3 Ultra order we have under her name and different address. order is 876xxx and the guy was speculating that it could even be next year before the card arrives. SHe asked "so estimate of November delivery that was quoted in the emails isnt really accurate? thats the mean that I am looking at early December or late december?" He said the safe bet would be late november.

Then again he repeated what they have all been saying is that stock is starting to ramp up and each delivery is bigger than the last so things could change.

*sigh. If I had known that 2021 was a possibility then I would of 100% paid an extra $150-200 to get it from another store by this point.

    Anyone selling a FTW3 ultra :p ?

You bet your ass they are, i know several people IRL not forums just in this area that have canned their non shipped 3080 / 3070 order due to RDNA 2.
Win win, they might get a competitor card before their original order, other people move up in the queue.

Why the hell is queue spelled with two ue's anyway?

PLE have no extra magic info that nobody else has. Every retailer is wanting cards to fulfil their orders but the cards do not exist. Distis/Vendors would have said they expect volume to ramp up late October and PLE just took that and ran all the way with it. They should have closed off preorders after the first evening and let stock catch up while managing the queue. There are going to be a lot of disappointed people by the end of November I would expect, or a lot of happier people that moved over to the AMD queue perhaps.

Loving the fact that there's now some real competition in the high-end GPU space. Gives consumers options while also increasing the supply pool of cards.

Does anyone know if there's a Corsair rep in Australia? Would love to find out how I can grab a hold of the 12-pin power cable - https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categ...-Supplies/12-pin-GPU-Power-Cable/p/CP-8920274

Anyware, Leader and Auscomp are their Australian distributors I am pretty shore. Used to be Altech but they were taken out by the Russian mafia a few years ago.

EDIT: Synnex too. They are probably the biggest of all the Corsair distributors. How I forgot them is kind of mind boggling.
