Rip off and I hope they are left with stock they are forced to drop the price on.

    My XC3 ultra went from 13 --> 11 --> 9 now back to 11th

My expectations are that it will arrive by the end of next week

Has anyone come across benchmarks comparing the various versions of EVGA 3070 cards? I'm trying to understand if there's any rational reason to spend the extra ~$200 for the FTW over the XC3, but have only found one or the other card in benchmarks. I tried using the FE as a comparison, but even their numbers were not like for like in the benchmarks i saw. At a guestimate, it appears to be maybe ~1-2% advantage to the FTW depending on the game, not really worth the extra ~20% premium.

So pretty happy with this Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC 10G.

Redeemed Watch Dog last night, the game is a crash king but got it running after some tweaks (running it in admin, by pass firewall and starting from the .exe instead of the ubi launcher and also pressing escape right after the title)

Anyone running a similar card? Anyone flash a different bios on it?

The FTW3 has 3x8 pin pcie connectors for a higher power limit (Can flash the Strix Bios). Out of the box there won't be much difference but if you have the means to cool it, the FTW3 has a much higher overclocking potential

Do you really need 3x8 pin on a 3070? Like, definitely for a 3080 for sure. But surely 380W is enough.............

Sorry I misread the post on thought he was referring to the 3080. The 3070 FTW3 is only 2x8 pin. Besides the better cooler I'm not sure there would be too much difference.

Yeah, unless it comes with an AIO I can't see $200 value between them.

That said, looking on PLE there is only $100 difference between the XC3 and the FTW3. So $100 for a little bit more heatsink and some RGB, you could go either way for that money. If you're planning on overclocking I'd almost say that extra hunjie is justifiable.

Yeah i just realised it was closer to $100 difference so not as bad, not sure where i got $200 from!

Makes sense about overclocking then, i'll go check out the hardware unboxed video for overclocking stats they published yesterday and make a call, thanks gents :leet:

That was the card i was chasing...looks good and has the best heatsink/psu imho in class, couldn't wait though and bought the 3090.

I like the fact the 3090 has more video ram & it is quiet, however the Vulcan is a killer card!!!
    Worth the money too.

They should be more available than the RTX 3080s, but at least you have the option of a pre-owned RTX 2080 Ti if you can't wait for that 3070.

Well considering its cooling performance one should buy it from Evatech at least that is the normal price. My Vulcan OC runs around 75c at default OC mode (370W-380W power draw) with audible fan noise, the temp is not great but the noise is not as bad as some reviews said. I only bought it because I like the look and the LCD is big and functional you just need to set it up once and never turn on its software again which is great.

There’s going to be an element of AMD marketing there in the way they setup the test - all 4K textures for example, but it’s unlikely to be a straight out lie...

Any word on the street about DLSS 3.0? Or is that DLSS 2.1? And will it still work with RTX 2000 series?

Damn I would have expected a little better given the price and the size of the mammoth cooler on them, looked like a good thing.

I thought the Korean review of this card is just an outlier considering other major outlets gave very good reviews but turned out not the case, but my O11 XL does not have side intake fans which might also be the reason for its poor temp. I am not sure how it performs in an open test bench or its OC capability if you flash the EVGA 3080 FTW 3 450W onto it but at least the LCD functional which is good enough for me and it fits my build very well not to mention it does not come with a plastic backplate unlike the MSI Gaming X Trio :D
