That’s not too bad mine got despatched yesterday and my SO is 700 behind yours
Yeah sorry for the flex
Someone else had ordered one in to a small store that didn't have it listed online and they didn't need it anymore.
We spoke to the store and they were happy to let me take over the order so they sold it to me directly...
$1492, only paid when it had arrived in store on Wed and it took 2 days to get here. I'm happy with that price and it's just to cover me for a while until I sort out my 3090 Strix Shroudgate RMA...
I really can't believe my luck! It was a total fluke that it fell into place but it's totally taken the stress out of RMAing my 3090 Strix.
The person that helped me is a fucking legend!
OCAU working together again!
8726xx and I've moved from 4th block to 3rd in the last day or so. Look like my Christmas present is a 3080
And maybe this: https://optimuspc.com/products/absolute-gpu-block-ftw3-3080-3090
Man, time flies. Over 7 weeks since launch now.
Commiserations to those who ordered on launch and are STILL waiting.
(beat you this week MR CHILLED )
Yeah I went to Silverwater service center. Make sure you do below
1. When you walk into service center , you will see reception. Do not spend much time with reception cause they know nothing
2. When you fill out the form , make your you write please test on normal position of the card(no vertical installation)
3. Also write the symptoms as fan shroud faulty
I went to service center after 5 days from the date I left my card(they sent me the email states it is ready to pick up).
When I got my card back with repair report it says "no symptoms were found" so I told reception that I want to speak to technician. So I showed him my video. After that they asked me wait around 20 mins.
That's when they found the symptom and replace the shroud.
Asus service center has plenty of extra fan shroud of Strix so you will get replacement sooner than mine , cause I told them there were several same symptoms as mine in Australia.
for a gigabyte eagle model lol..
Anyone who is interesting in reference waterblock??
I have below waterblock that I used on my RTX3090 Zotac Trinity. It is no longer need since I dont have any reference card. I am willing to give free.(of course postage need to be pay by you)
Anyone who need it send me message and I will send to first person who message me
It fits on 3080/3090 reference card. Also some thermal pad is not good condition so you need find the thermal pad yourself. Except that every tools are include with original box.
Ridiculous offer mate - very generous.
This makes me giggle. I feel bad for the all people who sold up their gpus before hand thinking they'd get one of these.
Are the U.S and europe still having the same shortages or is it just us, the poor cousins in aus?
How else on here has a Asus 3090 Strix? Got mine 3 days ago and it coil whines like a bitch anyone else have this problem?
Don’t be ungrateful, that whine is a sirens song leading you to Jensen paradise!
Got my Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC yesterday. Couldn't plug the power connectors in, had to very gently centre a few of the pins. From my searches online it looks like others have had the same problem, a bit ridiculous they aren't checking power connectors properly.
I thought they updated this and fixed the floppy pins? It was acknowledged by GB.
Worth a read:
That was me... sold my 1080 just before the announcement. Kinda sucks, but the only game that’s come out since that I’m frustrated I couldn’t play is Star Wars squadrons VR. I’m keen for Assassins Creed as well, but at least I have an ETA of 18/11 now. Like a lot of us I was sweating about cyberpunk until it was delayed.
I’ve been reading a lot since haha
Hmmm odd, mine is a 2043 serial number so it should've been fixed... Ah well, it's working fine so no stress.
Ah man that sucks... sorry to hear. Look, I'll take it. $200?
Hmm... 1080ti is still holding $500 in the MP.
Noticeable lack of 2080ti's going, though.
Probly the lower VRAM on '80s and the wanky price on the '90s causing that.
2080ti crew holding out to see what happens with 3xxxti.
You don't enjoy the dial-up modem nostalgia?
I honestly sometimes find it hard to differentiate between coil whine or my tinnitus
Must be a lot of people still waiting though given all the massive amount of pre-orders.
