I think the AIBs are releasing new SKUs just so they can have higher prices without people accusing them of price hikes on existing models... meanwhile the existing models never get restocked.

$620 more than FE lol... that'd nearly buy you a 5800x

Problem is for us, the realistic pricing for FEs right now, aside from scalpers, is around $1,400~1,500 or so.

Yeah given the speed and quietness of the suprim, and also since you can actually buy it now..id say the extra $250 aint too bad.

oof kinda tempting as I could go pick it up but $282 more than the X Trio I'm hopefully getting from HT can't really see the value although it is slightly better in a few things. Performance of most 3080 seem about the same.

Pretty sure you missed out. Based on reddit, I think they were likely sold out before sunrise. Some people yesterday reported their orders were awaiting dispatch. Might be worth giving HT a call to confirm. I gave up and cancelled my order.

I'm likely the most patient person on the planet...except now when I have an Alienware 38" incoming and don't want to power it off a 1080...

If you can wait for the FTW3 at that price, do it. I ordered from PLE also and am glad I didn't try to hop on elsewhere to get a card sooner. Granted I have the card now but for $1259 it was worth the wait for me as it's a respectable price with no gouging.

I wonder what the go is with this as I'm in the same boat.

Will PLE really now honour the $1259 for the FTW3 Ultra which is essentially in the Suprim/ROG/Aorus class? Or has the actual cost price gone up too? eVGA obviously not staging their product line up the way MSI has here (though I guess Kingpin versions are a different matter).

My place in the queue has basically not changed since the queue system was shown... not looking good after more than 2 months since ordering it.

I agree that for intents and purposes for most users they are all the same, but the FTW3 is definitely not in the same class as the Suprim/Strix/Aorus cards. The pcb and cooler evaluations of the ftw3 are less than stellar, fortunately for the $1260 price point they are still a great option for the vast majority of users.

So Ive had my Zotac for 3 weeks or so now and I am still in queue at PLE foro my FTW3 Ultra due in 12/12. Should I just cancel or try and offload one of the cards to try and make back the gouging I got on the Zotac (1499)? Anyone interested in a FTW3 Ultra or Zotac 3080?
