Yay finally got a new card, scored the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Twin Fan OC 8GB

It's not great, I agree. Half of them up to 3070 range is a bit stupid. I've been waiting for something for a while. Can't believe there's some breaking a grand on some pages that are already sold..

MSRP is 688 AUD. Cards are minimum 749 mostly 799, ASUS Strix is like a grand. For fucks sake.

MSRP Is a laughing matter at this point in the game, seriously. They shouldnt even release numbers.

Actually kind of crazy that we have $700 + 60 series card. My 1080 was $750 brand new.

Are we going to have a $400 50 series?

Performance is great and cost per frame is down. But we are still paying more.

I quickly saw Amazon had the Asus 3060ti OC for $652 and the Strix for $750ish, however they were sold out the moment I clicked.

    Hmm...

Sick and tired of pre-ordering cards...
    - a Evga 3080 on order from launch day on PLE
    - A EVGA 3070 on rder from laynch day from Scorptec

I just added the RTX 3060Ti EVGA from Scorptec
    wasn't intending to buy.. but..
its a 202mm card.. perfect for my ITX case..
Buy EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti XC GAMING, 8GB | Graphics Cards | Scorptec Computers

Hmmm.. looks likes there's meant to be a Ausus Dual OC mini 3060ti as well... but no sign in any of the lists as yet..

    3060ti, should be a $500-$600 card.
However, I have noticed, there is stock. Its not selling out instantly.
I dunno. Things are weird right now. Hard to get any sense of value when everything is marked up so high.

I bought my 1060 3gb because it was cheapy cheap. $300, stick it in, play, buy something faster, better in a next generation.Im no gamer, so I wanted something all right that would get me through what ever light duty stuff I threw at it.

    $800 isn't the same preposition.

When ever the shortage ends, are these cards going to drop like a stone? Will the $950 3060ti fall to $500 street?

    Oof must be sore,

You'd think that would normally be the case but wouldn't hold my breath for a long while. Maybe Intels imaginary blue turdcard will actually come out 1 century and not be gt450 performance at 3070 prices.

Don't forget this is replacing the 2060 super, the 1660 super replaced the 1060.

From that aspect it's not too badly priced

$750 is “not bad” and looks like there should be plenty of cards around this price over the next few weeks and months. If you can get one for less than $750 I’d say it’s a decent deal.
