I seem to recall there was a card bios update to address something with the fans?
You gotta go into Precision with the oc bios selected, then it'll update it to a newer version for you automatically.
cool gpu on air who dis https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/56910686?
I suspect your memory clock is not stable. Your gpu score should be a lot higher than that with a 2130 clock speed.
Edit: just saw your CPU, good ole bottlenecking there
Yeah definitely was just a quick test to see how far I could pull the men will have a further play haha and good old cpu bottle neck for sure
whoa 2130 overclock!
which model was that with exactly?
Ive done some basic o/c with my 3080 ftw3 ultra, and its struggling to hold clocks higher than 2050 with the +118 power.
i did install evgas precision tool, but I do have msi afterburner already installed too. I wonder if its conflicting?
Is that an XC3 card? The GPU score seems low for the stated clock speeds...prob hitting power limit, hence the high stated clock..that said even the avg clock seems high and that score doesn't make sense with it
I have an XC3 ultra and find best perf is to just undervolt 1965mhz @ 918mw for a more consistent clock throughout the run. That scores me about 18k - https://www.3dmark.com/spy/17014898
Even with the 8700k his graphics score has a lot of room to move. I'm on an 8600k and my ZOTAC still went above 19k graphics no issue
The power limits on these XC3 cards suck and there is no way I can come close to a 19k score. I think 18.6k was my best.
Is it 366W? I can't recall what kind of score I got on the original Trinity BIOS that was capped at 336W. Feel like it was definitely 18500+ but it took the 375W BIOS to get to where I ended up.
Edit found my 336W scores
just got my gigabyte vision 3080 oc.
very quiet boosts to 1950 out the box and its very quiet.
11820 port royal score @1440p with my old 7820x @ 4.7gig
cant wait for new mobo and cpu combo !
Nice, thats a good card you got there.
You should be able to get a little higher, if anything its hitting the thermal limit first. My Waterforce is also only a 2x8pin and i can get over 18880, still chasing the extra few points to hit 19k though
Sounds about right, yeah from GPUz max power seems around 340w as well, so i think landing around mid 18k is about the mark.
More of a BIOS power limit as opposed to the physical setup on these cards.. not holding my breath on EVGA releasing a higher powerlimit bios for these cards either.
The small difference in power limit on 2x8 pin cards shouldn't cause you to drop ~2k points. My card supposedly has a 370w bios but ive never seen it hit higher than 330 in afterburner.
yeah might be a driver issue just installed a new cpu as my previous gpu score was 17885 with the weaker cpu
Just compared out results, you got a peak of 2160!
Mine is the evga 3080 ftw3 ultra, jumper set to OC and the OC bios installed. No manual overclocking.
My cpu, system all together is holding me back, but seeing your scores gives me a preview of what i should experience too; just waiting on my 5900x to arrive.
You should be able to get a decent manual overclock on that card, 19000+ without too many dramas. Im on waterforce card which is only a 2x8 pin so im bouncing off the bios voltage limit already and that OC was definitely not stable in game.
Over four months now and people still waiting for 3000 series cards from launch night. I don't think I've ever seen any release this bad, ever.
How many are still waiting for these cards who preordered on release?
