At least it has the Aus release date, the OP could probably be updated.

EVGA Superclocked $999 on PCCG now. That's more like it! And available today apparently. Must.. resist..
Still about $150 more than the 780 Ti when it was released though.

Hopefully the 970 eventually falls in price as the 980 has. $900+ for a video card is a bit out of my budget

I think I'll hold out for the aftermarket cooler versions. $1000 is steep, but a bargain now compared to the Titan X.

    Damn, I just got a 980

On well, at least I didnt pay too much for it. Wouldnt be able to justify $1000 for a single card

Any reason to pick the others over the EVGA one? (never had EVGA). Happy to have a reference card, mATX here with likelihood of SLI in the future.

I was going to wait for AMD but I'm not sure now.

No. EVGA have aweseome warranty, plus the one on PCCG is the superclocked which is faster than the other 2. Not sure why it's cheaper.

hardly worth the upgrade even from my 780ti's unless I wanted to move to 4k or something.

Hoping for a price drop on 970s. Damn things have going up $40 since I bought my G1 at Christmas time. (I paid $479 over the counter, they are now like $519 plus post).

    Jebus thats expensive.
    $1k is pretty insane.

looks like the 780 will have to do for a little longer.

Considering the USD going up so much since then it's actually not a big increase.

Unless you want full DX12 support. For now there is no point in upgrading though. For us with single 780Ti's it would probably cost the same to sell one and buy a 980Ti as it would to buy a second hand 780Ti.

I would have balked at this even if it was already out when I grabbed my 980 - I mean my 980 was $699, $300 is a fair jump to this.

Still, looks like a good card all round and probably the last hurrah for this series.
