Did you get hit with GST?

Seeing the prices the 980Ti are selling on the forum 2nd hand, i regret not buying a few more to rack up some points on my CC then just selling them off at cost hahaha

I bought a 980Ti classified from new egg for 974 shipped. Not as good as the Amex/amazon deal but $220 cheaper compared to local stores. I am not even sure how that is possible with our dollar being so low.

Well Amazon had already slugged me the fee (~AUD$100), though they did indicate it was for 'just in case' and I should receive a refund of that amount within a month or so - we'll see.

Installation took longer than normal - having to re-plumb the entire rig, though the new card does seem to have a few more ponies under the hood than my previous. Plus it looks pretty good as well.

So Pascal might only be 5 months away ?

Counting weeks and waiting for leaks ....

    I'm at a bit of a cross-roads.

I have dual GTX 680's. I've been out of the game for a while. But with new releases like Fallout 4 and Starwars Battlefront coming out, I'm really looking to get back into a bit of gaming.

Lots of things going around about Pascal and the potential release dates which is kind of turning me off going with the 980Ti.

    What do you guys think?

I'll likely upgrade the rest of the PC next year once Skylake-E shows itself.

Just ask yourself, do you want to play the game now or in 6 months? Pretty simple decisions. There'll ALWAYS be new tech just around the corner. You can wait for the next tech for the rest of your life and never buy any.

    Xtreme Gaming Series

True, Gigabyte has also just released their xtreme gaming lineup for the 900 series
The GTX980ti Xtreme Gaming card looks to be the most powerful single card on the market right now

Anyone know why my things like videos or a game in a 2nd window runs really choppy when I'm playing a windowed game on my main monitor? Didn't used to happen.

Thanks. I'll check the driver, but fairly sure it's the latest.

edit: I was wrong, there was a new driver 2 days ago. I'll test and see how I go.

Tried running the game/s in borderless window mode?? Application might be taking exclusive priority if it's full screen.

Broadwell-E is due to be released sometime in the first half 2016.

I dont expect to see Skylake E until this time next year, or even 2017.

Pascal will arrive Q2 2016. (Hopefully April, but could very well be June!)

    GTX980ti Watercooled

Now that the GTX980ti has been out for a while, there have been some substantial upgrades to the PCBs. There's even a new watercooled card from Gigabyte

    Video review

It runs quietly with great clock speeds, and it seems the only objective con is the price, with a subjective con being the aesthetic of the card itself.

The new lighting helps to match it to any themed rig however.
