Anyone else using NIS (pov pac dlss/FSR) for older nvidia cards?

    Found on FSR thread
    https://forums.overclockers.com.au/posts/19055300/

Been playing around with my HTPC with a gtx1050ti, works great
Pretty happy with Forza Horizon 3 (don't think FSR is supported, so went with NIS)
Spirit of the north and hotwheels unlimited also worked great

Highly recommended for those who want free FPS on their older GPU's

    how to setup

so after further testing with the Samsung tv, it appears 4k will only run at 30hz with NIS on but 60hz without... but at native 4k@60hz can only get 15-25fps lol
Ended up reverting back and running 60fps with 1080p@60hz for now.

Will give this a try when i have a chance:

The lossless scaling app in steam has recently added support for version 1.02 of nis - the link to nvidias github repo is https://github.com/NVIDIAGameWorks/NVIDIAImageScaling

I might give fsr and nis a crack via the lossless scaling app to compare performance on my potato laptop when I get a chance.

nope, scaling & sharpening in one slider.

For most games nVidia adds these scaling resolutions when NIS enabled:

If you use Geforce Experience it has a separate slider for sharpness (in-game)

That's odd, NIS option in NCP doesnt change for me irrespective of 30/60/120Hz.
If your running 10xx series card that could be reason.

Might be or the tv im using. Gotta try out with a 4k monitor.

Played around with customer resolutions, worked.. unfortunately after a few minutes for forza 3 the screen started to display artifacts lol
reverted to 1080p and was fine.

tempted to get a rx6400 for fsr

I finally got round to testing this on my intel UHD 620 - NIS & FSR performance is around the same, I didn't notice a difference in image quality. For a potato laptop, Lossless scaling + FSR lite was on average 2 frames per second in Civ V (DX11) compared to FSR & NIS.
