Newegg tracking isn't great from memory, big gap from leaving the US and the local scan.
FTW 1070 on sale for $599 AU delivered (using 28 deg)
Do you get free post?
Thats for the rest of us ...
Dont use the currency converter, they rip you off.
So you order in USD? Its pretty close anyway, maybe your conversion wont end up where you think after it charges your card ...
Wel I got my 1070 order already. They shipped Amazon prime for some reason! Yay
Oh man, I am so looking forward to mine arriving. I've been using onboard Intel HD for what seems like an eternity. I can't wait to play some Doom, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege again. Then you've got Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and ARMA 3 Apex. The common problem of too many games and not enough time...
Good stuff, how long ago did you order?
Shipped on the 27th or 28th looking at his posts. Not that I was stalking through them or anything
If I pay in USD then I pay more fees anyway right? I dont have 28 degrees.
Got an EVGA 1080-SC delivered today, one week exactly was the transit time using the povo option. Their tracker was pretty quiet until it landed at customs yesterday, would probably be better if they gave us the DHL waybill number.
No, your bank will probably still give you a better rate, the Amazon rate is shocking.
There is a foreign conversion fee that pops up later though, at 73c vs 77c there wouldnt be a huge difference would there?
Which of these rates is relevant to my transaction?
Oh ok cheers for the info. Mine was shipped yesterday and now has a status of 'En route to DHL eCommerce Distribution Center. Fingers crossed it's only a week too. Onboard video is slaying me lol.
CBA charge 3% transaction fee. See https://www.commbank.com.au/personal/travel/international-fees-charges.html
Then, for exchange rates, see:
BUT, I would double check with CBA whether you would still be charged a fee from amazon since they are a USA merchant.
That 3% fee is regardless of whether I pay in AUD or USD right?
Yes, if you pay in AU$ then Amazon include it in their price.
Mine was saying the last stop was Compton CA for a long time, NWA song got stuck in my head every time I checked
Lol I'll be doing the same now you mentioned it
OK so that offsets the ripoff exchange rate somewhat.
Anyone want a GTX1070 for USD23 ?
Watch the negative feedbacks come in on this guy ....
