Where is the cheapest place to buy the 1080 evga ftw? Direct from their website? Close to cancelling my order for my 1080 strix oc 6 weeks since order and not even an eta.

Probably Amazon as they have very good prices (make sure Amazon is the seller, fulfilled by Amazon, if it has Prume available is a good pointer too) plus decent shipping charges. Newegg has higher postage charges (afaik) and direct means shipping twice plus a forwarder fee.

    Who ever is cheapest

    :)

So if Asus doesn't have international warranty if I was to purchase off Amazon, are there other manufacturers that do have Warrenty if I was to buy from Amazon or NewEgg?

I've never bought internationally so I'm not familiar with it all

Definitely Amazon because of postage, but you still got to be quick when it's in-stock, I set up an alert through Nowinstock and snagged a SC-ACX a couple of weeks ago.

And you can't buy direct, they literally have NO 1080's in stock ATM . Have also heard they won't sell/ship to freight forwarders.

Just watch out posting all that on a public forum, thanks to DAI post (the company responsible for importing the item) it's not hard to get all of your personal details using that tracking number.

So with Deus Ex around the corner and wanting more frames in Arma 3, I think it may finally be time to upgrade from sli 780s to a 1080. Cpu is 4790k @4.7 so im assuming the perfomance jump by making this purchase will be awesome.

I heard the MSI gaming armor or whatever it is doesnt support dx12 is that correct? Can I get some recommendations on what 1080 I should get and where to buy if I wanted dx12 and proven quality and maybe a factory OC?

Not really keen on overseas purchase unless the saving is more than $200

Edit - also is a corsair HX 1000 PSU ok for these cards or is it too old? how many power connectors does the 1080 need?

    Cheers

    Where did you read that?

My two EVGA 1080-SC from Amazon & Newegg were average AU$900 delivered each, so saved ~$300 per card on current AU prices.

And EVGA are the only company offering international warranty, although you do have to send it to Taiwan.

HX-1000 will be fine with two 1080's, and most have one eight-pin connector, some custom PCB's may have a second six or eight pin but at the moment the voltage is locked so people aren't getting any higher OC's with the extra power and/or phases.

Sadly not at the moment. For business class screen they still make some 16:10 screen. But nothing fancy.

Has it LEFT customs? If you guys have never got a phone call once it's left customs you'll be sweet for no import tax :)

My motobike wheels that were over 1k got held up and I got a phone call to pay x ammount of $ for me to get my items!

Thats good, I don't have a CC. Coles CC has zero OS fee but $10 purchase pretty much becomes the fee anyway

Oh, I don't need to worry about that, I only purchased a GTX 1070. Doubt I could justify a Titan XP for 1080P gaming... Or can I?
