Nvidia have lost the plot with pricing, so wouldn't be overly surprised if they want to get all their gddr5/x cards out of the way early ready for a price adjustment when the hbm ones are announced. Milk the early adopters dry while they can.

    I hope they dont.
nVidia needs competition or they will keep pricing their cards like they are now.
    Fucking out of control.

It makes no sense to release a Ti model this close to Titan, more likely around December or early next year.

This bad boy arrived earlier this morning.

I've done some quick 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme benchmarks:

    Stock: 7252 Total [8389 Graphics]
    Overclocked (+225MHz): 7782 Total [9137 Graphics]

That's at stock voltage, 112% power target, and 85c temperature target. I didn't bother to overclock the vRAM. The temperatures stayed under 73c during the benchmarks, but when doing the 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra stress test, the temperatures peaked at 83c and the boost frequencies started to decrease a bit. I tried +250MHz, but it was unstable (even with increased voltage). I'll likely do some 3DMark Time Spy benchmarks after reinstalling Windows 10 (I'm currently using Windows 7).

Edit: I just played a full round of Doom. Boost clock was at 2037MHz constantly, temperature was 83c, and voltage was 1.025v.

i think when the 2xx AMD cards were re-released from the 7xxx card AMD screwed up their release dates.

So NV will always release faster cards just before AMD.

AMD should have waited longer for Vega and not released the 4xx

probably not since its a direct purchase from NVidia, they may just allow shipping to Aus from their web store.

What's the consensus on overclocking the vRAM on the GTX 1070? It looks like +300MHz should be achievable, but I'm just wondering if the performance improvements are worth the potential instability (unsure if Pascal scales better than previous architectures regarding vRAM frequencies).

Express shipping from comgateway indicates 3 - 4 business days. How accurate is this? Regardless, the shipping has been paid for and I can't wait for the monster to arrive :D

Edit: Express estimates arrival of the Titan X next week
