Had the redeem button available to me now
Any reasonably priced GTX1080ti at under $1k?
well if you are playing something like BF1 itl melt your eyes with awesomeness
If playing CS:GO maybe not
Do yourself a favour mate, deep within my heart, get yourself a 1440p IPS Gsync screen with that 1080Ti. Do nagrets I guarantee.
Just a minor observation...
Don't you think the Thread should be updated to include 1080TI in the title and poll votes?
Then you also need to add 1050TI, etc, etc.
Digital Monkey should be able to make it happen
I bought myself a Gigabyte 1080ti and got it working on a fresh install of Windows 10. Damn it's nice
Quick question: Is it worth mining with a GTX 1080? I know nothing about mining in general but was thinking of giving it a go.
They mine pretty good but its a long road to get ROI though. I mine on my Titan XP. You will definately get more than you put in on power.
I don't think Mining is what it was, you'd probably spend more on running the 1080 than you would get in bitcoin return. Probably more in-depth detail in the bitcoin thread though
Can someone explain what exactly is this "mining" thing?
Just go check out the great big mining thread.
Just got a 1080ti, Been playing gears 4,project cars and forza h3 maxed in 4k on my 55" all i can say is wow. Been blown away for the past couple of days.
Yep and people often ask why I went from x34 1440p back to 4k, it just looks so sweet
Spent Wednesday evening playing around with a flash programmer and flashed a modded vbios for my notebook 1070. The only change was an increase of the TDP from 115W to 151-170W, so settings-wise it's pretty much close to the desktop 1070.
That sounds....not safe for a laptop lol hope the power supply is stout as hell.
I've been measuring the power usage and there's plenty to work with.
-6 in canberra tomorrow morning, worth taking the computer out to the garage and seeing what the 1080ti with stock FE cooler can do?
4k is sweet as, i use a 65" Samsung Series 9 Curved SUHD TV as the monitor which is powered by the 5960x and 1080 Ti SLI.
Looks mint as.
both my Ti's are FE, but only used air cooler for 2 days whilst awaiting blocks, man they suck, get it on water asap
