Maybe HBMx can’t handle the faster speed, due to heat or other limitation, surely in a stacked memory Botton or middle layer must be hotter than the top layer with epoxy.

    Besides what’s actually better

HBMs slower speed but gizzilion bit path or narrower path and much higher frequency of GDDRx

Titan V is generally way faster in DirectX 12/Vulcan (e.g. 41% in doom) where async compute etc can keep the huge cuda count to use. For the wrong DirectX 11 game it's got the same issue as Vega keeping the huge cuda core count busy which then means the lower clock speed of titan v than pascel holds it back. See:

Well gives hope that with the right API Volta will help smash the 4k 60hz and beyond barrier

So, does anyone here has a Titan V on-hand to put it through its paces?

The card doesn't have any other heatsink contact points...the only one the stock HS contacted was the GPU core..so yeah, its all good...

I suppose these Gainward cards are meant for the Chinese market only, they were for sale for only like $600 plus post in Nov last year.

I saw the $999 Computer Alliance deal and went to the ebay store to compare to now. What a time to buy a graphics card.
Strange you can't find anything on Gainward. I've stuck with Gainward and Galax for graphics cards for years.

If you lookup on the Gainward CN website the 1070ti herd can be found there. http://www.gainward.cn/Home/index then click on 1000 series card tab then you will find a 1070Ti which is the 1070Ti herd. I have no idea if this shares the same PCB as Galax 1070Ti EX as some tier 2 AIBs use the the same OEM in this case it would be Palit.

Got tired of waiting for news about Volta so I've decided to upgrade my GTX 770 to the EVGA GTX 1070 SC2. Reviews look good and I got it for $668, which honestly thanks to the mining craze I have no idea if that's even a good price or not. I suspect it's good given the current market, but pretty high compared to what it should be in a world without mining.
