I bought two FTW3's on the 20% off eBay sale mentioned before (1050ea posted from NZ), they were initially for...things... but I've since moved them into my main PC. Quite impressed with the card and its cooling capacity for only air, they also suit my taste being quite solid and not overly flamboyant.

    It's the 11th gen, you don't count 8,9,10,20 and skip 10 generations.
It's going to be 1180 and the superstitious thing is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Lots of people work on the 13th floor, people don't stay home in bubble wrap once a month either haha.

nvidia might also end up with completely new labeling scheme....wound't surprise me at all based on past.....at this stage 20xx is as good as 11xx (it's just a number)...we had FX between 4 and 6, then nvidia jumped from GeForce 9 series to GeForce 100-900 series, then back to 10 series, wasn't problem then, not sure why it should be problem now

    GeForce 256 series
    GeForce2 series
    GeForce3 series
    GeForce4 series
    GeForce FX (5xxx) series
    GeForce 6 (6xxx) series
    GeForce 7 (7xxx) series
    GeForce 8 (8xxx) series
    GeForce 9 (9xxx) series
    GeForce 100 series
    GeForce 200 series
    GeForce 300 series
    GeForce 400 series
    GeForce 500 series
    GeForce 600 series
    GeForce 700 series
    GeForce 900 series
    GeForce 10 series

Maybe, i'd be happy with a new naming scheme.
Maybe shorter, Geforce A1-9, next gen B1-9 numbers represent higher/lower tier.

You'd be surprised. There is no TX13 taxi numberplate in the ACT for example, plates were released sequentially from TX1

Many hotels don't have a room 13 on any floor either.. I can't see this applying to a tech device though.

im sorry if this is in the wrong thread, before my windows and c: going kaputt my dual gpu pc was going fine. it was going fine detecting both gpu's in windows 10 install. once i installed the nvidia drivers (geforce experience) this is where my problems began. so much as it started to say that my 1080 gpu (main) wasnt working and that my 1070 was working though. (problem is my 1080 is what both my monitors were plugged into. so i uninstalled anything nvidia via add remove programs, this caused chaos.

now if i have both gpu's in my hdmi (main monitor) doesnt work/turn on and only my secondary monitor works, windows continues to say not enough resources to run the gpu. but hey presto i remove the 1070 and all works perfectly. any ideas?

now my psu is a brand new rm1000i, and its a fresh install on win 10

have you tried keeping only the 1070 on the main slot? maybe a screenshot of nvidia control panel or the windws error is easier to understand the problem.

I'm wondering if I sell off my 1070 and 1070Ti now in anticipation of the next gen. Hmm.

True, Nvidia card pricing is improving and AMD card pricing is still far from reasonable especially Vega:(
