Just came across this: NVSlimmer Download (Guru3D forum link)

I remember when telemetry was introduced to the Nvidia drivers, a helpful forum goer or two pointed out what folders to safely remove from the unzipped driver file to remove telemetry and other hogwash you didn't need. This app simplifies the process.

modifies the nvidia install files so no rubbish is installed

ddu is only used to clean drivers before re-installation etc as i understand it

Worth exploring, now that I'm back to using Nvidia card again.

The only thing I ever install the Nvidia package for is control over aspect ratio correction. So, apart from the basic driver and Nvidia's control panel, everything else in the package is useless to me :D

Just an update, I used this successfully and it even repackages the file for you so that only the things you chose are included in the install process, no unticking driver "features" that aren't there anyway

It's just bug-reporting stuff which leads to issues/problems being corrected more quickly. Paranoid folks will be paranoid :D
