good thing presto cards don't expire and you can use them all over Ontario.
Staying at the Holiday inn downtown centre
Cool. If you want, you can also check out Smoke's Poutinery when you're there. It's a Canadian thing.
There is very very little going on in Toronto regarding jobs. It's not just you ni9ht_5ta1k3r.
Rent is crazy expensive considering how low the salaries are. From what I can tell rent is about equal to Sydney, except salaries are around ~60% lower than Sydney... I'm not sure I'll stay here either.
Food is pretty great though!
I feel bad because I want to try again but at the same time i need to find a place to call "home" so to speak.
Also, the internet is faster and more competitively priced than Australia. I was paying about $74 CAD for 300/300 fiber from Bell while I'd be paying $99 AUD for 100/??? from iinet or any other ISP in Australia.
Yeah I'm in a similar position. Considering trying NYC, perhaps going back to London for a couple more years (focusing on career this time rather than travel), or just going back to Sydney and setting up properly. Basically been on the move since early 2016 and its finally getting to me.
same here. It's getting a bit much for me emotionally and mentally. I dunno if I want to do a 3rd attempt or not but we'll see.
We are here for another 2 weeks minimum, staying in Little Portugal. If anyone is here and wants to catch up let me know!
We are leaning towards going back to London at present.
Do you play pc games mtw? London is the home of Digital Extremes, the dev house of Warframe. You could try snap a selfie with Rebbford.
I am, but have never played Warframe!
I'm really enjoying Toronto as a city, but the weather here is bipolar - it's like Melbourne except the low end of the temperature range is drastically lower. Today was lovely, warm enough in the sun to be in just a t-shirt. Yesterday felt like -6 celsius, and the day before that it snowed. In mid-spring.
It's not spring yet. In Canada, spring is what you call the period where Winter and Summer duke it out.
I've been told Toronto only has two seasons and I think I'm a believer now.
Toronto is mild sauce. Come visit the prairies.
I've been to montreal and visited the Rainbow Six: Siege studio
What on earth are you doing in Manitoba??
Oh come now, who doesn't like Winterpeg?
Born and raised, mate. As for what I'm doing right now, thawing after a long winter.
Then I guess I should flip my question around, what brought you to OCAU as a Canadian?
I came here because OCAU is awesome!
I can't really argue with that!
