Been using a point and shoot for many years, recently started dabbling in a bit of manual settings. Took the plunge and invested in my DSLR so I can get a bit of practice before I take it overseas

I've only just bought my camera. I'm wanting to get into photography and the 400D looks like a good starting point. If anyone in Brissy wants to show us a thing or two let me know ;)

    Yet another one...

    Hi folks!

Location: Hobart and Sydney (travel between the 2 at the moment)
Camera: Canon 30D (beautiful camera this)
    Lenses: 24-105F4L (walkaround & GP lens), 10-22; 135 F2L
Accessories: 580EX flash, Tripod, filters, etc
    Software: CS2
Gallery link: None yet - maybe one day when (a) I work out how to do it, (b) I get brave enough to do it!

I'm a contented amateur who has avery concrete day (and night!) job so I love the fact that photography makes me change my perspective on things - I feel that the essence of a good photo is something that is always 'outside the box' and it's just so much fun to keep looking for this!
