Copped a S4 mk3 to replace a messy setup that I rarely used.
It's good kit. Preview track in to the cue bus is disgusting. Love it.

Reckon you'd be hard pressed to hear any differences in a mix tbh. I also turned off the spinny wheels, bit gimmicky imho.

Honest to goodness, absolute best thing is the browse/track preview stuff you get per deck/side of the controller. It's great when you've got a stack of tunes you maybe don't know that well yet, you can preview them with a button from the controller and scrub through to get the vibe etc, all without loading them in to a deck at all.

    Genius.

They probably missed a trick on the screens, but the loop count info etc is fine and dandy.

The only real critique I have is quite petty really; The corners of the unit are pretty fucking sharp lol. It looks cool, but I reckon subtly rounding the edges would be a bit more.. comfortable...

Might have to record a bit of a mix and upload it for y'all. I'm sure you'll hate it judging by the stuff posted recently :D

I went from Serato DDJ-SX to Rekordbox DDJ1000. RB is a little clunky but it's better. Love the DDJ1000, so much more fluid.

Nice will give a listen. My Numark Mixtrack Pro is gathering a lot of dust, might get back to it 1 day, and if I stick to it, upgrade to something newer. The Mixtrack Pro FX looks nice

edit: Love Tinlicker, so I am sure I will enjoy the mix.

Got a tracklist? Been skimming through and all tunes I love, we have similar taste.

From the quick skim through you have the mixing done pretty good. Don't over do it on the effects for trance music, but go hard in the club haha.

I'll give it a proper listen tomorrow

agreed on the effects. I am not a fan either.
with trance less is definitely more IMO

and no aspirations to play in a club, maybe my kids b'day parties haha!

Hehe yeh about the same for me. Mixing music that kids are into is bit trickier, trance is much easier by comparison.
