hahah really funny, someone should do a photoshop
Seems I've mind blanked again on new songs to learn so suggestions welcome. Kind of a beginner. Got down some Metallica and Maiden(Fear Of The Dark, The Trooper) down as well as Hammer Smashed Face.
So anything that's a bit of a challenge and not entirely chugging one note and a few power chords
how about lucretia by megadeth?
(i gave that suggestion around 3 seconds of thought)
...and Justice for All is always great fun. Not too technically demanding but a good memory test coz it goes for so long and it feels epic to play along with.
Write your own songs.
Why don't you write one for him and then post the tab?
cos he don't like my power chords, brah
what about planet caravan?
What about Clam Caravan?
I'll be out of the forums until Friday week. Have a safe 9 days guys
fuckyeah lets go crazy....
Got my Hardwire Metal today, impressions when I get home.
Nice, never heard one but I heard they're really good. Anyone seen the Ibo PGM100 reissues at their locals? I saw an Australian price online for one at $5500...sounds a little ridiculous even if it is limited. The 20th anniversary were limited and they were still sub $2k.
Speaking of pedals, has anyone built any of the BYOC pedals? The Overdrive2 sounds like it might a be a cool addition.
Such a crazy price for a RG550 with painted F-holes .
It's difficult enough to buy RG's new anyway considering the deals you get second hand on oldies.
Agreed, I love RGs but some of them are crazy over-priced.
My Hardwire metal distortion is nuts btw, I've never heard so much bass from a distortion pedal. I've tried getting fat tones before with my Zoom but when I crank up the bass on the Zoom eq my distortion got flabby and made some awful farty noises when I went chugga chugga. For a while there I was starting to worry that the vintage voicing on my TT was to blame and I'd never get a tight metal tone but this pedal pumps out more bass than I'll ever need and my TT never flabs out. Heaps of different tones available using the tight/loose switch and tweaking the eqs too. Really quiet pedal too. It's quieter than my Satchurator is and has more gain at the same time. Awesome pedal, I freakin love it.
edit - it's crazy loud too. To get my clean/dist at the same level with my Satchurator I have the Satchurator volume at about the 3 oclock, with my Hardwire I have the pedal volume at about 9 oclock. Loads of volume boost on tap.
Why would you get a new Ibanez when you could get an older one for less that has a better trem on it anyway?
edge/lo-pro edge are simply brilliant.
funnily enough i think i prefer the original edge over the lo-pro..
I dunno man, I got the lo-pro Edge on my Prestige but for my style of playing I freaking LOVE my ZR trem. It keeps better pitch for double-stop/unison bends, I can be way more physical with palm muting before it pitches up and changing strings is easier. The only thing I miss from my lo-pro edge is getting flutter effects really easy.
