    Throwing it out there, with the amount of talent on OCAU and the growing popularity for hackathons I thought it was about time that we start a thread to collaborate and prep teams for up coming hackathons.

    Not sure where to go from here but we need a list of people;

    a) Who are interested.
    b) And what skills they can contribute.

    Also if you have no technical or management skills, you are still useful as we always need people who can contribute to an idea, and help just by being a body to use the app/software and feedback as "normal" human.

    Sounds like ICC are too tight to pay someone to develop an app/backend and are looking for free work under the guise of a hack-a-thon. I'm not going to leave my current job for $30k seed funding lol.

    Pretty much describes every hackathon I've been to... except maybe govhack since they give you data but you come up with the problem to solve

    Honestly if you work full time with a family or even have other hobbies most good programmers will not have time for this. I'm interested but I already code 40+ hours a week so I don't have a lot of time. I'd find time for actual hacking hackathons though, eg breaking existing stuff or doing capture the flag contests that tend to go for a few hours max.

    My skills are:

    Reverse engineering/cracking existing software. Have RE'd X86, ARM, PowerPC assembler and MSIL (C#), also RE'd linux .SO packers etc.
    Micro processor programming.
    Good at finding flaws in Web APIs.
    Lots of Windows UI development.
    Optimisation problems.
    Can write C#, Python, Java and C competently.
