So what would be a great value for money board to go with these new pentiums ?

    MSY or PCCG prefered.

If I get my finger out I might be able to sell some stuff and look at joining this comp.

Awesome stuff gents. I haven't done any overclocking with Intel chips before so this looks like a nice cheaper way to get into it.

I'm with Ginger though I have no idea and would like to buy a bang for buck motherboard rather than going out and spending 400 on something a 150 would have done. Bare in mind I'll only be using water.

Quick ? Then Matt/Dino, the fact we don't have to Sub to Hwbot is good with me as I would like to try Cold with this comp but don't want out of Enthusiast league just yet.

Just keep in mind with a z87 board you may require a bios flash, which means you may need another cpu to do this. Otherwise maybe the Z97X-UD3H is probably your best bet for entry level. Though the SOC Force is going to be better for only a bi more.
Yeh, and if you save the submission files for hwbot prime you can always submit later.

I'd like to thank Matt for running this comp at the same time as MOA... So I'm now required to take screenshots twice with both wallpapers.

Looks like no restriction mate kinda means you will need to be using some form of cold to have a chance of first prize.

BUT 2 and 3rd prize draws all you need is a valid sub for all stages so all is not lost plus learning efficiency in the given benchmarks will help you down the track

given the major prize being what it is, i think open cooling suits. there will be other prizes, but will need to hear back from Dino what these will be.
