Just breathtaking, Phillip. The work on the wheel, in particular... just, wow. This stuff must be close to the field of work which finds you trotting all over the globe?

I must say, seems a bit petty of Rhettro to completely change the colour scheme of the team's racing liveries just to spite you now you've had the chassis painted up in the previous colours

Haha, is what I have been planning for months.

Just in-case anyone has not seen the inspiration.

And what the new scheme will be

Beano that wheel is amazing. Can I ask what it's cost you so far? Would love something like that, but feel like that might price me clear out of the market before I even begin.

The whole thing looks awesome mate, Top Notch job!

Haha @ Mrs Beano comment.

Phillip, just echo'ing whats already been said here. Your work is stunning, the attention to detail, the planning and design, its all top notch! I am guessing the budget is well and truely blown. My little contribution is that the OCAU logo reproduction (in hi-res) in Rhett's paints is my work - I see it made its way onto your Hyper which is cool! :D

I need to get my backside trackside again!

Wife, what are you dong here - out!!

    :)

Mate, let me work out roughly what this is costing me, it is a pretty big total if I include wheel, pedals, trip screens and all those thingos....whew, if the wife ever sees this thread, she will rip me a new orifice, that's guaranteed!

Everyone, thanx for all the comments, it is always inspirational when people appreciate the effort that goes into these projects......I will post more updates by the weekend, hoping I ca give her a quick testrun.

I have today booked my flights to the USA, my Emotiva UPA-500 amp is waiting at a colleague's place, I have meetings scheduled just before Anzac day...so I can bring it back with me.

The 5 K-Woon shakers are buzzing in anticipation, hehe.

Nick, about time you get your lazy bum back with the Mad Cowz...been missing you there, Mate! You too Martin!!

    Cheers,
    Beano

Possibly a stupid question as I know nothing about the field. But isn't that Emotiva a bit overkill to run butt kickers? Its a HQ amp, don't you just need to send a reasonable amount of power to them and there isn't any particular focus on how clean it is?

    Whole build looks tops btw!

    Hello Guys,
    Thanx for the feedback :)

Wrt the Emotiva Amp - good question.....I prefer having a dedicated amp designed to run the low freq shakers.....yes, you can get away with less expensive solutions, but these have been proven to last at the loads the Shakers impart on the driver circuit...

Plus, I needed a good excuse to get one, the rest of the rig is pretty exxy, so I did not want to add a $20 amp to it

    cheers,
    Beano

    Amazing!!!

probably a n00b question, the touchscreen, you said its running Z1 software, is the software just on the PC and controls the screen? or is the screen "standalone" computer with the software installed on it?

    Hey Birdie,
    Cheers Mate.

The software runs on the iracing PC, the screen is just an USB device connected to the host PC as a 4th display.....no separate PC for that part....

    Hey Phillip!

Long time no speak! Looks like your still upto the same sim racing as per last time we spoke and you were telling me about your old ECCI wheel!

I sent you a text message, I'm hoping you have the same phone number :)

    Danny.

    Hey Danny,
Good to hear from you, Mate :)

Yeah, got your SMS, was enroute to Brissie though -finally at the hotel!

Will sent you a reply tomorrow, would be good to catch up again. Are you still doing the Cars, or.....

To much money, hence me playing with these things now.

Had to get rid of the FPV, never used it, only had 11k after 4 years. Plus, the 380rwkw was a bit much for the Ute, would have ended in some deep trouble I would imagine...Still sad though, but luckily have these things to play with

    Catch ya soon, Mate!

    Cheers,
    Beano
