The car's fast around corners, slowish down straights and an absolute dog to keep a hold of...

Best tips for beating my time: stretch 5th and 6th a little, close the radiators and learnt he track.

Edit: NVM, must l2read thread title. GTR Evolution. Gratz, I'm still adapting to using the G25. I'll be having a crack at that record. ;)

You know my secret weapon though. No one would ever suspect lol. And no, it's not cheating in any way, shape or form.

    Nice time.
Does this mean GTR:Evolution is worth purchasing?

I watched some comparison Norschleife videos and the track looks nearly identical to its real life counterpart.

The track's pretty damned awesome. I'm disappointed at the car's handling. Getting ever-so slight wheelspin out of corners with TCS turned off puts you into walls. I've been playing sims for a long time, randing from gran turismo right through to this, and I gotta say, the handling sucks balls. But meh, you get used to it.

    Let me guess...

You turn off force feedback :)

Which is the way I drive sims...

Imho, the ffb in sims is still crap, and it doesn't improve your driving.

    Btw, u thinking of iracing?

If your good at driving, u should be iracing, and driving the skip :) It's just like gpl but with very accurate true to life tracks with all the bumps and nuances a sim built track couldn't compete with (even if they are mainly american tracks).

    Joysticker? or keyboarder! :o)

I knew a very very fast joystick gpl driver. Just insane how well he drove with it.

Playstation 2 controller with a cheap ebay adaptor is what i used back in the day.

Now have a direct USB version of a playstation 2 pad, old one wore out.

too much technical gadgetry. I've been going between analogue and digital throttle. still can't pick what I want, but think i'll stay with digital and adjustment of throttle sensitivity.

I like this! some competition :)

I recently got a G25 and purcahsed GTR Evo and rFactor, i'm still in the "L plate" stage where I dare not even hover over any "multi-player" connect buttons and am still learning how to simply not over-kill a race.

Can't wait to be able to try crack some records ;)

Great effort mrmordred! Always seems to be a few aussies at the pointy end of sim tables

PS. hit youtube or google up for some of greger huttu's iRacing videos. Makes me feel like a sim racing girlie man, but amazing stuff to watch. Think he also used to be the king of GPL?

I can't believe you use a hand controller and can do so well.

Makes me think if i wasted $265 on a G25! I seriously did not mind racing on my USB controller, but I figured players with a Wheel would always have an advantage. Interesting because I kick butt with the controller especially when compared with the G25--Although i'm still learning that, Only got it last week.
