Quite a few of those would be from first option syndrome, tl;dr crew or trolls.
lol wow, 3771 against, 46 for so far, I voted AGAINST, it is ridiculous, security experts have shown how flawed it is, what a waste of money.
First internet filtering and now they want to tell us what we can/cannot eat.

It's only ideas at this stage.
So Conroy's Internet filter won't block political speech, eh?
we don't want the Gov. deciding what we do and don't see
This proposal stinks alright. At least we know what the next lying PM needs to do to get voted into leadership... Promise to get rid of the filter, thats if it last long enough to see a poll i guess.
are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes with lies ?

I really want to have an in depth "chat" with that Jim Wallace, he clearly doesn't actually understand what he's talking about and has absolutely no problem with using tactics he has labelled as "mischevious" (selective information).
I very much doubt that the filter will go ahead. As time rolls on it will get more and more opposition and while the supporters will become more and more vocal it will become clear to the general population that the key supporters are fringe groups of radical christians while the key opponents are technical experts who actually understand the filtering and its effect.
I hope that the people of Australia see this and kick up enough of a fuss that the government can't possibly go ahead.
Even if they do, I feel it will be political suicide and it will get rolled back when they get voted out next election.
An anonymous person has created a lighthearted visual version of the Jim Wallace and Mark Newton ISP filtering debate broadcast on ABC radio national last week, complete with a horn sound every time Wallace gets his facts wrong or spurts out ‘logically spurious rubbish’. That’s a lot of horn. Watch below:
lol that is gold....
It is hilarious, but i wish the horn wasn't so damn loud.
If i was the mark IT fella..i'd say to the other lad.."mate, if you dont know the definitions and differences between prohabited and illegal...you are wasting the hosts and my time ". This whole debate..it all sounds lovely and good in faith..but it cant be done..simple as that.
Getup is not working, could the government already be censoring political views?
links works for me...must be ur browser
works now, just had a quick look.
fuck that horn scared the shit out of me!
Listened to the original broadcast, Wallace's points seem to conflict with on another. Looks like he doesn't even know what he's talking about
nope..not even the faintist
Not really a fan of Life Matters but that video made it very funny, thanks for the post.
Optus an iiNet are not included in the web filter trial
