It's a pretty simple process, there's a form on the AMD website LINK , fill that out and you'll get an email back if it's been approved, then you'll send the CPU off (Singapore iirc) and it'll get tested and you'll get an answer back.

All true about the pins, with RMA I can help a little but if there's a reason why it'd be denied (bent/broken pins for example) then that's a pretty clear cut case sorry :/

Thanks for the info. I don't think it's bent pins, as it slots in fine, and I can't visually see anything. So it might just be the memory controller malfunctioning?
Still awaiting a reply from AMD. Sent through that warranty request form last night.

Ah cool cool, normal reply is within 24hrs but it's possible you may not hear anything back till Monday.
    That's a worst case scenario though :)

I got a response from AMD yesterday, as I must have sent the wrong Serial number. I have since emailed back with the correct one, even a photo of the box w/ the serial number. So far no reply. Are they usually a bit slow between emails? I actually replied within 5 minutes of their email about the serial number.

It might have gone to the back of the queue again, so long as the RA number is active you'll get a response back :)

I'm assuming that is this one; SR #{ticketno:[8200831255]} ? That was in the email from tech.support@amd.com

So you emailed yesterday, no response yet and you're stressed out?
How long were you running the faulty CPU?

It'll be alright mate, if you don't hear from them for a few days let me know but at this stage I wouldn't be worried :)

Had it for a few months.
Got a response. All good. Given me a RMA number and shipping address. About to head away to Greece for 3 weeks, so perfect timing to send it away haha
