Went down to the beach despite my sore jaw after having wisdom teeth out yesterday as the clouds were looking interesting. Here are some shots I'd like to share, critique and opinions welcome.

    Beautiful light :)

A bit too much foreground in 1 and 3 IMO.

Agreed, but it's hard to compose with a lot of sky but still have sufficient foreground interest without violating the rule of thirds. I might try composing closer to the ground next time.

    Great shots :)
I'd love to take a model there. Where abouts in Ocean Reef is this place?

hmmm it's just USM 100% and 0.9px  looks normal here.
It's straight down ocean reef drive towards the coast off mitchell fwy, right at the roundabout and then left at the boat harbour sign.

You want me to? Or you saying I did? I very rarely use HDR, I used a 3 stop reverse nd grad handheld against the lens with a circular polarizer attached. Here is the raw file and processing settings visible in lightroom:

    Thanks ;)

And I think the Radius on the USM is a bit too large.

if you're using cs2 or cs3 use smart sharpen, its much better.

    3 more

3 more just to show off this phenomenal sky we had on Friday evening. The shots are compositionally (sp?) boring so please no criticism in that regard :p

Nice photos .. I want to run to the beach sometimes when the sky looks interesting but by the time I get there it's no longer interesting .. :(

Should have bought a place at the beach :) ..
