    A few quick Q-

    Where can I get (online)

    stand for the CV1
    storage box for the CV1
outer layer protection for the CV1 (safe from scratches etc)

    Hey All,
Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me out

I recently purchased a CV1 second hand and with the slightest movement of the cable (or the cable port) the headset switches off then connects again.

I've read up a fair bit about it online about the cables being faulty, but I am not sure if its the port of the cable at this stage.

Warranty isn't transferable so you need to contact the original seller.

It seems he was a sell and run sort of person, leaving me with a damaged unit

If you have any friends with a headset you could try it with their cable. If the problem goes away then you know what you need.

I just sit mine on the desk (where it won't get any direct sunlight) but there are some 3d printed stands around. I assume you could get one printed and delivered?

You'll have to make your own box I guess. The one it came in is fine for the headset but doesn't have spots for touch.

Outer layer protection: Not sure what you want here. You can't cover the outside while it's in use or it can't be tracked. It has led's beneath the surface material which need to be able to shine through. Some people put normal phone screen protector film on the lenses to protect against scratches.

This looks really good. $682 Australian delivered with 3rd sensor.

Vive still selling for $1400 at HN and JB....seems like a no brainer.

Damn. They just added a $100 Amazon gift card to the deal. I am sorely tempted by the effective cost of $299USD to get into VR.

Amazon US site - yeah I'm in the US. Availability seems to be coming in and out. AFAIK the $100 gift card is a amazon prime day deal but the other discount will be on for 6 weeks.

Why not just grab it from the Oculus site?

because it's $449USD as opposed to effectively $299USD on amazon

Does that include shipping to Aus? What about returns and warranty? If so that's a great deal.

Nope, shipping is extra. The $449 deal is pretty damn good anyway.
