    Of course ;)

But if ever there was going to be an exception, the iPhone may well have been it ...

Ah well, back to the waiting game, I guess ... hopefully 3 don't drag their feet too much; they may end up either losing customers altogether, or have people buy the handset outright and switch to them, lowering their bargaining power.

    hey guys

i recieved my 3G bill today. Instead of paying $47.00 each month (Cap +$18 mth phone). I got surcharged for 0.31c credit card fee? whats going on? I was never informed of this credit fee surchage via mail or anything?
Sure its only 0.31 but to charge without notifying just for using credit card? Is this standard now across all 3G contracts?

    Cheers

Yeah, there is a credit card surcharge. I think it's been like this for ages though... I seem to remember information in my bill months ago?

Edit: this was included in your bill a few months ago:

i didn't seem to have those pamphlets included with my bill and I check the advert's usually and I wasn't billed for the charge until this month? Because last month's bill was $47.00

If I go for direct debit out of my bank a/c it will be waived aye

every customer paying be DD-credit card was informed of this change. yes, if you DD via bank account, there is no 0.065% surcharge (or is it 0.0065%? anyway)

35 cents per month over 24 months equals $8.40. i can live with that. :)

compare with the obscene credit card surcharges charged by computer stores like netplus and MSY...

    My3

my3 technicians have some work to do :thumbdn:
I was just looking at my3 online and all of a sudden
it went to someone else's Cap details

I can see that Person is on the New 49 Cap
their number, their spending ($142.50) and I could've changed their plan....

Sorry if this has been asked (and answered before) have been reading the thread but make have missed one of the 3,600 posts ;)

I'm currently live and work within Canberra's 3 coverage, however if I were to move to where the was no coverage (say anywhere in Tasmania) what would happen re breaking contract (though I'm not sure I'm on one, I bought my phone outright) and just generally being on the GSM network all the time?

dexash, you would only be in the poo if you were on the gsm network where there was 3g coverage. you don't have to cancel your service if you move to tassie. though you might wanna do some research into nextg there though, as i have heard telstra gsm in tassie is pretty patchy.

and no, if you bought your phone outright, you should not even be contracted, so it's even less to worry about

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply :)

Was thinking about going to Telstra but I'm going to be a lot poorer as I'll be moving out (again) at the same time. Are Telstra the only ones with 3g coverage in Tassie?

Doh, signed up to the k800i with $10 credit a month deal over the phone, then got a phonecall 2 minutes later saying that the warehouse is all out of k800i's. Need to go visit a 3 store now to see if they have any in stock.
