Sounds very cool. Are you a big CS player? If so, do you have any concerns about playing on a 4k screen as opposed to 120+hz?

    Yeah, I'm a murderbox fanboy!!

I currently play on 60hz anyway, but anything on 4K would look pretty good!

I'm more worried about the FPS, that's why I need to invest in two 980s...

    I'm a big CS TRADER. I'm silver 4 and I won't be getting out any time soon. ;_;

UPDATE #1: Plans for the future.

UPDATE #1: Plans for the future. (30/10/2014)

    Well, well, well.

This is the first update. Are you guys as keen as I am?:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm on a high, especially after all my exams, so yeah I might sound retarded but oh well

Anyway, Project: Titan is now underway!

I think that with many awesome builds out there, it all started with a vision and a plan. I have the vision, now I need a plan.

And the plan is so fucking hard to do.

I'll leak what I have down so far:

I also had some preliminary sketches of what I'm going to do, but they're under my desk somewhere so I'll fish them out and scan them for you guys later :)

Basically, to elaborate on my early plans:

    1. Get a BIG CaseLabs case.

I've opted for a STH10 from CaseLabs. It's their biggest single case discounting the double-wide Magnum series. Looking at the case, I see a shit tonne of potential cooling options, a heap of space that I actually LACKED from the 900D, but the best thing is that since I will still be cutting holes aroudn the case, the all screw system for locking the case together will definitely be helpful.

The case itself, after my customisations, will be around $630USD, I'll get a quote on the shipping later and update it for you guys.

Over the course of doing my first project, I realised that getting the case first is the single most important thing because it allows you to measure shit up before you go and buy the hardware and make it all fit in. Without a doubt, the first thing that will arrive on my doorstep will be this case. :)

    2. Get X99.

Just going to get these two things.

Might actually get an extreme CPU, just to know what it feels like to own a black box instead of a blue box. Time will tell.

I also plan on duct-taping that red line from the motherboard - for those of you that know CSGO it might be an AK Redline-esque thing but it could overall ruin the look that I'm trying to achieve...

    3. Get enough graphical power to run 4K.

I'm actually a bit torn here.

I could either get two Titans or two 980's.
Since the project name is Titan, I might as well get two Titans, right

But not sure if Titan Blacks are worth all that dosh. The plan currently is to lurk the FSPC, if Titans come up at breakneck prices I'll jump on them. Maybe 3 :)

    4. Improve on my watercooling skills (pipework, measurement)

Just before I got completely buzzed I was tearing down my build last night, and it was a fuckeroos amount of effort
Water spilled everywhere too, the white mayhems was actually kinda like jizz, some semi-opaque white sticky liquid coming out of a tube l0l
I aim to have a clean mobo section, and hide all the pipework in the second compartment or behind the motherboard tray.

    5. Use metal piping. Specifically, use nickel-plated copper.

I never knew copper pipe was $100 for a roll at bunnings, fuck that's more expensive than I thought.

I'll be needing Saate's help with his Rocket Science fittings (I thank and congratulate him for making something that will benefit all the pipe users), and I'll be needing some local help with regards to plating the pipes after they're done. Has anyone ever got their shit plated, was it expensive and was there any problems with it? I'd love to know, since I've never done something like that before.

Before I proceed with buying all my shit, I'd like one last input from the E&WC community to make sure everything I'm doing is right, all the parts and shit are compatible yadayadayada You can just never be too sure.
