And that's exactly why I would love to go to 77" :p

For viewing comfort at the distance I am away from the TV I have room to play with and possibly could go to 100", if ever that were a reasonably priced size to buy that is.

Interesting article on mini LED's, especially for anyone with a lazy $14000.00 for the tv in the article which Samsung call a "neo QLED".

    https://www.smh.com.au/technology/s...w-tech-is-a-game-changer-20210330-p57f53.html

"But with Mini LED, those lights are ridiculously tiny; you can fit roughly 10,000 of them on a piece of fabric slightly larger than a credit card, which gets them almost the same amount of lighting control as OLEDs but with nearly twice the brightness. That extra brightness is key for watching TV in a bright room, and making the most of HDR10+ textures, which rely on brightness. That means blacks look blacker, and there’s almost no “blooming” (light bleeding) from bright white writing on a black background, making the picture more immersive."

Only tangentially related to OLEDs but just signed up to a trial of Binge (cheaper than Foxtel now) only to find that I can’t watch it on my LG OLED. Of course they say a WebOS app is coming “soon”, but they also said that mid last year from dated posts.

Pity, Justice League would look great on an OLED (if as dark as the cinema cut )

    This x1000

Just had my OLED B7 come up with the dreaded LUT issue (faded rectangle in the middle of the screen, similar to burn in).
LG called on Monday, tech arranged on Tuesday and panel replaced today, Wednesday.

Have had the telly just over 3 years, and no out of pocket expense!

    Seriously good!

Gotta ask, do you have an extended warranty? Because normally their warranty period is one year. I was never sure how far I could push them on warranty periods with their tv's.

No extended warranty, typically it's 12 months yeah - but I think ACL might cover you for more?

I didn't have to push at all, literally just told them the issue and supplied a photo - though I've read online LG are honouring the repair of this type of issue even years out of warranty.

Definitely and they would be aware of it. However I always get asked for purchase date and receipt of purchase.

But good to know from your info that I can comfortably get assistance from them years down the track without being treated like a I'm trying to scam them.

Yeah, I got asked for the purchase date / receipt also - definitely makes me want to continue supporting them in the future

Replaced with 2020 model $1795, another 43" TV plus several K of crap lol

Come on LG, give us local pricing of the C1 already! People in Europe are using them and we don't even have a release date yet?
