When sorting out the settings for Xbox and PS, is it the same for both or you need to do it separately for each HDMI port/device? (On C1)

on an LG you can set everything up and tell it to apply to all ports.

But, in terms of actual best settings, is there a difference in what the settings should be for the Xbox and for the PS?

pretty sure Vincent from HDTV Test did some nice setting up vids. Personally I would setup probably the xbox and then apply it to the ports and see what i thought. they are fairly similar.

actually if it was me i'd just setup youtube watch vincent for a day and then do it. bear in mind the LG firmware gets updated frequently.

    lol

fun C1 "hack" you can bind any app to a long press of the number keys!

Does the firmware update reset the saved settings each time?

    Yes rare.

At the start of the year when they were around $8k or so, I said to myself I'll pull the trigger at around $6.5k. Couldn't say no.

I must admit that the 77inch at $4.7k is much better value but didn't want the regret.

Not sure what to do with my wall bracket.

Use existing TV wall bracket or get a new ball bracket.

Certainly for me the 77" is starting to get to a price where I might even be entertaining the thought of changing from the 65".

You may need to move it, as the mounting points are in the lower half of the screen

I've decided a 65" Sony A80J is what I am after. But my local store doesn't seem to want to move much on price. Anyone buy one recently and get a good price? They were $3495 until a couple of weeks ago there went up to $3795 so they could be discounted back down for the sales to $3495. The best I am getting is $3395.

    Very good point.

If I have to move the wall bracket, I'll get a new bracket.

The existing bracket will stay with the TV wherever it will be installed.

From memory it didn't do full speed hdmi 2.1, 28Gbps Max? Not sure it makes a difference. It does have dp1.4 though which is nice

Not as bright as the C1 in SDR or HDR mode. Lacks some of the firmware protections LG have implemented for image retention. No Dolby vision, etc.

No reason to get one over a C1 unless you lack a setup with hdmi 2.1 imo.

Let me clean it up first then I will share the ridiculousness that is a 55" mounted above a 27 and 24" work setup on a desk that's only 600mm deep lmfao

All monitors and TV are wall mounted with mounting dream brackets off amazon into wall studs. All cables through wall to behind monitors then just up to the TV cos you can't see them anyway.
15degree tilt on the TV according to m. Dream.
