Any recommendations for a case? Prefer non transparent and protects it from all drop angles.

Also any guides on how to setup double tap to wake?

With cyanogen does that mean it's rooted?

Any recommendations for mods/tweaks? Get mine next week.

Get a Mofi leather case, I have few and they are great.

Double tap to wake should be default, Flashlight (V), Camera (O) and music controls are switchable in gestures menu, but double tap should just work.

Nope, not rooted, even though it has cyanogen.

i got no mods/tweaks, just didn't need any so far.

just got my oneplus one (second hand) so far so good, nice rig!

Is there any fixes yet for the very dim capacitive buttons? even on max brightness its pretty dull.

The dim capacitive buttons is a hardware limitation unfortunately.

Nope - one of the fairly early OTA's brightened them as far as they go, so assuming yours isn't running an ancient build they're as bright as they're getting.

I've never found it an issue personally, since I don't look at the buttons when I'm pressing them.

so apparently you can still buy the oneplus one, luckily lol. Need a secondary phone for work and it fits the bill perfect. Sadly i got rid of my original one for another iPhone, sucks when you realise you need a second phone. Beauty of it is its going to be a pretty flash drive most of the time lol.

standard dpi is terrible and the screen is wasted, other than chaning that just the standard android stuff.

didnt realise root was required. since yours is second hand (and ill assume no warrranty), theres no reason not to.

    adblock
    xposed
delete anything you want (though doesnt really apply to cyanogen since theres no bloat anyway).
    dpi

Definitely - the standard DPI gives you all the handling issues of a 5.5" phone with all the screen space of a 4" phone.

If you update to CM 12.1 nightlies, you can change DPI from the settings. I recommend 380 or 400 DPI (down from stock 480dpi)

ah k so lower the dpi the better?

is cm12.1 nightlies hard to install? any risk of bricking?

Depends on a few things - the build number you're running looks like a stock CM build, not a nightly, so it's possible your phone is still running with a locked bootloader and the stock recovery. If that's the case, the process is a bit involved (unlock the bootloader, flash a recent version of TWRP, source an appropriate Google Apps package, flash nightly and GApps).

Unlocking the bootloader will wipe the phone, and it would usually be recommended that you wipe anyway going from 12.0 to 12.1

far 2 much effort, no problems with the UI for me so far.. prefer it over the LG G3 if that's saying anything.

back to looking for a decent case that covers all angles from drops, isn't much choice (don't want flip case)

I know its early days but damn this thing is quick, if it stays this zippy ill be very happy.

Quick question. Phone Dialer will show all my contacts, even though I only want(And in contacts have selecteD) to show them from one account, but it appears to be showing the phone+gmail+exchange contacts. How can I get it to only show the contacts from my exchange in dialer?

I'm still cracking on but getting sick of the stock ROM. Interested in peoples favourites?
