    Hello!

I’ve got a 2016 HP spectre x360 with a dual core Intel i7500U CPU coupled to an egpu running a GTX1070.

What settings should I lower to get the most FPS increase? Currently I’m running on highest settings and it drops to 20-30fps in scenes where there’s rain and lots of action.

Don’t suppose my CPU is bottle necking is it?

7500u is not a very strong CPU at all so that's probably your bottleneck. Really you can only support it to perform it's best. Make sure it's cooling well so it can turbo boost up.

My last spectre was terrible at anything game related. They are meant for scribbling penises in staff meetings, not gaming.

I think its either poorly optimised or tech is almost too new.. surely new drivers keep all old profiles though?

i thought it was optimised for 6ghz+ cpus that never came.
Granted dx11 wasnt particulary efficient back then either

First level of Crysis 3 CPU limited at 720p with 7700K@4.9GHz, 4x8GB 3600c15, Radeon VII.

Setting all settings except the below to low increased FPS by ~5
Setting Shadow detail from very high to high increased my FPS from ~75 to ~100 but going lower didn't help
Setting objects to medium brought up FPS from ~75 to ~105 and low to ~135FPS

High shadows and medium objects together was ~135FPS
High shadows and low objects together was ~145FPS

Some levels seem to be more multithreaded than others.
