OUYA pledge for $950,000 of your money

I pledged $145 ($95 + $20 postage and $30 extra control) as it would be interesting to see how this new console lives to see a future as it sounds fascinating.
It maybe a complete waste of time but you never know what will happen.

Looks awesome. I've pledged, $150 for a powerful android nettop with a pair of quality controllers is worth it in my books, even if only to be used for emulated games.

Probably will be now that they've almost doubled their kickstarter goal

Will be a nice little box + controller for N64/SNES/NES/PSX etc games, if they run well enough

    March 2013 estimated delivery.

Is this hardware still going to be that relevant then (excuse my ignorance here, I'm not up to date on these CPU's etc). Or is it likely this is just what they have in their prototypes at the moment, and it will ship with different hardware?

    Nice looking machine though!

I'm not bothered if it's not as relevant then, for $100 each time I upgrade it, I wouldn't really be bothered

$100 per year per each new model... free games (though riddled with miocrotransaction AIDS no doubt), it's not too bad. It's not like older models won't still be useful for playing media and older games elsewhere

hmm... so how's this pledge thing work, do they take my $ now? or do I have the option to pull out when the product is done and I'm not happy with the final result?

    Hmm.

Will be a system where components are swappable?

The website says that developers must offer SOME part of the game free, wether it be a trial or similar.

I don't know what others are buying it for, but I'm not really keen on getting it for Android games + demos. I'm sure there will be plenty using the F2P model though

They say it's moddable, no doubt someone will find a way to do hardware mods

They've already doubled their expectations so soon, with so much more money I don't see why they couldn't upgrade the hardware

So you'll be using it more as an emulator and whatever else can be done on Android? (HTPC maybe as well?)

I think this console is gonna be big/huge news everywhere LOOKOUT!!!
There will always be the complainers and whingers, but I dont think that will hurt OUYA at all.

I think with all the modders out there this machine can almost do anything.

    Upto 2 million dollars..

I pledged some cash, if for nothing else it will let my kids play cool learning games on the tv. Though I hope it does shake up the industry, as much as they seem to think.

Amen, buddy. Hopefully they'll learn that simply spending more money doesn't mean automagically better games.
