Excuse my ignorance, but why not? Mainboard in the OUYA wont be compatible?

Yeah I've read that stuff. I was more just referring to nobody really posting in this thread lately. There's been a couple of updates recently in regards to dev and was thinking someone here might've been involved. I'm very excited to play all the old-school games emulated :)

They don't use processor sockets like desktop PCs. You can't just buy a Tegra 4 chip and replace the existing Tegra 3 chip. The processor is soldered on the mobo. ie: To upgrade, you would have to replace the whole mobo.

Ahhh okay. Yeah I didn't realise that. No wonder I wasn't finding much when trying to google for the socket details for the Tegras :(

I think there will be a lot more activity in this thread when the consoles start arriving and we see what we can do with them.

At this stage only developers have their hands on the consoles and I don't think that includes anyone from OCAU.

only a handful of devs too, hardly anyone has bothered, no one I know. one of my mates asked me if we want to port our game, but sales wise, its just not worth it.

Yer I think most of the so called DEV consoles were just bought by Wannabes, cant see many games being made just for the OUYA.

Someone off facebook.... I probably should've left that bit off :Paranoid: But it is due to people not understanding that the OUYA is a Indie console mostly.

some indie stuff is cool (I own a GP2X) but I'm just not feeling it for the OUYA yet, I think the lack of software and the fact I own a tablet that can do everything this can - PLUS it's a tablet and I've owned it for aaaaages makes the OUYA seem pretty meh.

Come on OUYA - WOW me.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes, although i'm a little bit skeptical at this stage. If they can get some addictive multiplayer titles, then i really think this could hit off. Especially with multiplayer games like quake, UT, cs, TF2, goldeneye, cod4 i think it could be huge. Minecraft is a "good" start, although i'm not sure indie games are going to make it mainstream. Get some big backers
