I had a bit of a play in PTR - in terms of pick potential, it's not as big a deal as you might expect. You won't OHK quite as often, but you should get the followup shot most of the time.

However, they've overdone the nerf - 8 second hook cooldown is too long IMO. Miss a hook against a Mei and she can freeze you, headshot you twice, freeze you again, and kill you, all before the hook comes back up.

 

It's pretty shitty but it's turning Hog away from a 1 hook wonder and into a more rounded and viable hero overall.

 

Sort of. My primary issue is that his primary and secondary are awfully slow as is and the spread is insane. You need someone within arms length to get a good left click and how often does that happen? Right click is a little better but still slow as hell.

God, the servers are trash tonight. Should have a "the servers suck tonight m8" message when you click competitive.

 

Well, looks like placements are heavily weighted towards your final Season 3 rank. Again.

Since my final season 3 rank was rubbish, and we didn't have a great placement rank, I've placed in Bronze despite playing alongside two players who placed into gold (basically we all got placed about 200 points down from our end of S3).

Oh joy....

So far 1/2, won one with you boys. , Lost one earlier in Solo queue while waiting for the 10 minutes to end so I could talk in Discord.

 

I think my hog positioning is pretty good, moving too far forward is bad juju for a hero with no armour or shields and a fire rate of 1 round an hour.

 

I was mid gold at S3 end. I've played my first four placements and they've all been losses. One game we had a leaver so that ruined that one, and the other three were terrible team composition and no communication. I've had better games in QP.

I need to play with people who actually want to play the game.

4 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses.

Both losses were huge, and 2 of the wins were huge, I wonder if it works a bit like dota where they jump you around in skill brackets to see how you perform there.

Did way better playing solo q last season.

i lost 8 of my placements cause i was afk wasd'ing and watching netflix for most of them, because every time i see a mercy, i just want to kill my self and throw the game, and mercy is in every game, so fuck them.

i stilled placed 1800 on this trash account, which is exactly the same as the first 3 seasons, even though i won alot more matches in the previous season, someone told me its more to do with game impact, but thats bullshit considering i get a whole 27 points for a 60 elim game, woopty fucking doooo. lol.

Seriously though, do this shit in QP all you like. But in ranked, really?. There are 5 other people on your team and you are ruining it for them... Why play a team game and be a dick to everyone?
