PCCG and Scorptec have this one listed up on their sites.

    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php...=33715&zenid=e86231644c29627f821f25ac283a95b3

    Known issues:

    1. Blue banding.
    2. Wake up from sleep backlight issue (WFS).
    3. Coil whine from bottom left of the screen at high refresh rates.
    4. Some units don't Overclock to 100Hz.
    5. Scan lines

Other minor issues: BLB, IPS glow.

    Known Fixes:

    1. WFS: Needs hardware replaced (not sure which)
    2. Blue banding: Needs firmware update and can only be done by Acer.
    3. Coil Whine: Control panel replacement.

    Tests for banding:

Edit: Changed it to owners club, I think it deserves one..

    Afaik its the LG panel??

    Edit:

    http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_predator_x34.htm

    Yup, LG panel "LG.Display AH-IPS"

    Edit 2:

Skimming through the review, looks alright for a 34" IPS display.

    Overdrive works best on normal
Overlocking works good and it performs best at 100hz
Pretty shit pixel responce time compared to the 27" inch IPS displays from AUO
    Ok in panel processing delay
    Acceptable colour post calibration

Hmm no colour calibration and according to the site its only 72% sRGB. Not sure how the quality will be compared to my dell ultrasharp premier colour.

Thing with forums are that people who don't have a Problem generally don't post in them. People with a problem always post. If acer wants to be get a foot hold as a premium display provider one can only hope they step up there warranty and support.
still pretty amazing that the cost of these monitors that they could let so many defective units be sold though.

Have had my x34 running for a day now, here's my experience. Came in a ginormous package, very well packaged which was good because you know couriers. Straight out the box it comes fully assembled with the base, and a couple of cables (a short ass 1m DP cable, power brick + AC cable). I plonk it on my desk and it requires a crap load of depth which I don't have, so I decide to wall mount it with a goodguys 32" wall mount and the Acer 100x100 vesa mount that comes with it (piece of cake).

Onto the performance, I fire it up and holy shit my eyeballs. It looks absolutely amazing and I've come from an Asus ROG 27" 144hz monitor. The curve, the ips colours, the tiny bezel, it looks the goods that's for sure. I try out a bunch of 3440x1440p wallpapers and I still can't believe my eyes. Time to fire up Grid Autosport, and it looks great capped at 60hz gsync still with no overclocking. Time to run it at 100hz, I fumble my way through what has to be the shittiest OSD on the planet (seriously they should take a leaf out of Asus's book), and set it at 100hz overclock. Fire up grid again and it's sitting around 70-80fps everything at ultra with AA turned down on my Titan X. Shut it down and then fire it up, and I got a BLANK screen on startup. I thought shit I've got a crap monitor but then after screwing around and reading the Acer forums it's crappy Nvidia drivers not forgetting the old monitor settings and trying to push 144hz. No amount of uninstall and reinstall fixed it so I reformat. Now everything working sweet again.

Been playing non stop for the last 24hrs and it hasn't missed a beat. Though fps games seem to give me a headache, either I'm not used to 21:9 format or maybe it's too much brightness I'll see if it gets better in the coming days. Racing games where I'm seated a little further back is awesome though.

Ips glow is noticeable but it's pretty good overall and I'm totally happy with it. No dead pixels and the quality is superb. Some shitty OSD and that wack ass Predator logo are the only cons at this point from me.

    Hope that helps.
