Thats a pretty damn good price, wonder if it'll be permanently $1299 now. I'm thinking of picking one up in Feb

Patiently waiting for a NSW supplier to do the same. Want to be able to easily return instead of paying ~$70 each way.

Might cry. Paid $1699 only 3 months ago :(
Still love it and no real regrets, but $400 in my pocket would have been nice.

Scanlines which Acer have confirmed cant be fixed as its a side effect of using G-Sync with that particular panel (or something). Theres a thread on the Acer forums about it. Some people have reported that they cant see any scanlines though so I dont know.....

There is also a problem with the PG279Q and having a vertical line down the middle of the screen with the image displaced by it. A firmware fix is available.

Changing the refresh rate through the on screen joystick or simply turning the monitor off and on removes it. I have the problem, but cannot be bothered at this point in time taking it in for a firmware upgrade.

I understand the "latest" versions have the firmware loaded.

    Just a heads up.

I really enjoy my PG279Q. I had the PG278Q before it. The IPS panel makes a significant difference.

    I dislike curved screens.

If I could get a 34" 120Hz + IPS screen with Gsync, I would buy it tomorrow.

One of the lucky ones ;) wish I had the same experience. Was going to jump over to the XB271HU when I discovered they used the same AUO Panel too...FML

I would love a 34" 120Hz + IPS + GSync with NO FREAKING CURVE. Understand the theory behind it but I like Flat monitors also

I bit the bullet and picked one up earlier today

No dead pixels, minimal BLB and no scanlines, will report back with more testing

Edit: Build date is Aug 2016 in case anyone is interested

Me too, the only thing holding me back now is the lack of support for 21:9

I havent found it to be an issue in any games ive played.
Although i tend to play alot of single player games and such.

I know Overwatch doesnt support it, which is a deal breaker for alot of people.

Overwatch does support it but its not proper 21:9, its just 16:9 zoomed in with the top and bottom cutoff
